3 weeks of doing this exercise 3 times a day has been a total game changer. My posture has never felt so good. I started noticing that just by standing normally, my neck was getting a stretch by itself 😂 no pain, just a tiny stretch, which I think means I'm naturally standing correctly now

Bon WE!!

Hi. I have 2 questions. First, in how much minutes should I take breaks? Second, do you have a video about how to sit on desk while you have to solve exercises and you need to write a lot in paper and NOT in laptop/PC? THANKS

Hey dear. Reg. breaks: my advice is to stand every 30 min at least, and to take a 5 min break every hour at least. Reg. handwriting, I don't have much on the channel (I take the point 😉). Back-wise it doesn't change much: pelvis supported whilst you sit on the sitting bones. For the neck & shoulders, the idea is that you should do as little as possible. Hence, it's normal that your paper is slightly oblique, because the movement of your forearm is kind of diagonal.

Hello, I have a weird question, that no one seems to understand. I bought such a chair, when I sit, I seem to sit correctly, but after sitting on the new chair, I have a problem with concentration, it seems that there is no trigger in my mind, as I am concentrating on space and my muscles are also bothering me. I don't know what's the problem? is hyperventilation? As soon as I sit on the old chair, I already feel good, and these two chairs are different from each other. What could be the problem?

Hey! Is there a difference between the 2 chairs in terms of softness or pressure points? I'm thinking that some kind of subtle discomfort could explain that. It has been proven e.g., in school children, that postural discomfort is correlated with disengagement: you can't focus on your painful body and on your teacher at the same time. Another explanation, maybe a bit far fetched but I did see this a few times before, is that neck strain (in part. forward head posture) impacts the blood supply to the brains. Hence, it can potentially lead to concentration issues. Does this make any sense?

@@OlivierGirard so a new chair is softness and old chair is leather and tight than new. i took this new chair two days ago and changed it to a leather chair. I'm better now, thanks for your attention.

I have a video on kind of this, which has remained rather confidential: kzbin.info/www/bejne/ZqLYi5l6apWUidU. My advice would be that you take a piece of anti-slip fabric and that you roll something (e.g., pullover, scarf or so) behind your belt. It's not gonna be perfect but it will be much better...

Hi, I've noticed you've changed your headrest from fabric to leather for you kinnarps plus 8. Is there any particular reason or the old one just stopped working? Cheers
@OlivierGirard
@OlivierGirard 2 жыл бұрын
my God, you have eagle eyes!! Indeed, I changed it because the fabric was getting dirty. If you look closely, you can see some kind of dirty / fatty mark where my head rests. I felt that this wasn't looking professional :)

@@OlivierGirard I see, I thought it might have been due to comfort reasons such as the fabric causing irritation. I've been quite interested in kinnarps chairs ever since I saw them in your videos, I haven't seen another chair with such an adjustable headrest :).

@@OlivierGirard Would you happened to have tried the Kinnarps Capella? I only found 1 store in NZ that sells Kinnarps chairs and they only carry the Capella XD.

@@HLover03 I sat on it indeed... honestly I don't find it so great: it's a good chair of course (the armrests are quite cool), but it's also more expensive than the Plus 8, and I'm less comfortable on it (in particular, I'm disturbed by a pressure point around the front edge of the seat pan, which forces me to sit lower than I'd like). However, that's only my opinion: the Capella has won a test phase over Plus 8 and other competing chairs (other brands) at a client of mine recently... so once again: test it and see for yourself :)
