Rick , I love your no bullshit straight to the point attitude when teaching us about proper horsemanship . Forget all the Monty Roberts or Pat Parelli your advice is easy to comprehend theres no fancy tricks or outrageous claims just pure straight forward advice teaching people how to improve our communication with our horses and how to build stronger bonds with them . The people who view your videos and who complain about your methods are most likely the ones whose horse's are confused because they are being handled the wrong way. I want to thankyou for your videos as it has improved my relationship with my horse's although I admit I do have alot more to learn I certainly will be watching any new videos you release so I can improve more. I see people all the time who claim about them being around horses since they were young and the funny thing is they are the type of know it all's who make the biggest mistakes. please keep the videos coming Rick cheers .

I love this. This is exactly the type of learning I want to do. I long to be with horses but don't no jack and whenever I think of going to a horse farm I worry so much that my actions will confuse the horse and that I will cause trauma to them. It's hard to find "horse people" who speak/teach this way. I've just become obsessed with these videos. Thanks.

I've heard criticism about your videos but seeing your love for your horses and the way you connect with them is amazing.
@TruthArrows7 жыл бұрын
InDemigodsWeTrust Rick is a critical thinker when it comes to horses and so he often has some good "horse sense" to share with people. Sometimes people get rubbed the wrong way when it comes to personality but that doesn't mean he doesn't have things to teach people, especially when it comes to novices or people that are hung up on controling horses... he has a lot to offer them especially. It's been interesting to watch him grown and learn his self. He's just a guy that pays attention and has some common sense which actually isn't so common. My philosophy is: Take the good, leave the bad.

"I wan my horses to be horses" 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 this is why I enjoy your videos so much. You are one of the few who actually understand horse nature, respect them for what they are and work with that, rather than try to mold them into some sort of dainty "toy version" that suits the humans better.

I love the waterbelly sounds as they run! Well fed, and happy animals. :) Buddy and Tanner are adorable playing together, I love it that you've explained that not all kicking is done out of a "mean horse" frame of mind. I love to see horses play, its kinda like dogs in a pack, how do they play? Biting, growling, jumping, sparring, horses are so similar to that. Its great to know that there is something so valuable out there. Showed this video to girls at the barn, horses are much happier!!

Your no bullshit attitude and natural horsemanship skills are amazing. You know so much about horse behaviour I would have called you a horse whisperer, but no, you care a great deal about horse treatment and natural behaviour. Horses should have a chance to be horses and still be loved and cared for. Good humans make good horses, stupid bad humans paint a horse as bad when its not even the horse's fault.

quite welcome, Kylie. I think Rick is the real deal!! I know enough to know what I am seeing when I watch him...I think he is the truly "natural" horseman. He reads the horse and his body language is clear both to the horse and to the person who is viewing the video. I dropped the "big boys" and struck out on my own and after a few years , I got to the same place as what Rick is teaching. He is a much better rider than I am, however!! and, I have never seen him get ugly with his horses...
