That sounds like a great idea to me, I love so many fandoms and couples and stuff, quite a few of whom I've never edited before. I'm not sure exactly how original you mean for it to be though. So if I made a Catherine & Vincent (Beauty & the Beast) video which I've never done before, that wouldn't be as likely to win because everyone is vidding that new couple and new show lately? What about like Michael & Nikita or something? I mean... what's the cut-off for unique enough for this contest lol?

(part1) Right I have a random question to do. :} You said that it could be a character/fandom/couple that we loved and to show it. So imagine if it's a character that I only recently started to like. Like for example: Elena Gilbert. I never really vid her but again i never really like her since season four. So if we focus only on season four that would still count, right?

that´s not so easy in merlin^^ i really hate morgana and gwen and already vidded merthur,that are the only couples. In sherlock i´ve already vidded all 3 possible couples. Hmm maybe i could vid sherlock alone as character? That would be new.How long must the video be?

i guess we can bend the rules slightly from 'never have you edited' to 'not really having edited'. if you've edited it 2 times and only have like 30 videos, then you have kind of edited it. but if you have as many videos as i have and have only edited 1 or 2 times, then you don't really edit it and it'll be fine. does that help? so if you've not really edited elena at all/a lot, then yes, that's okay. hope i'm clearing it up a little.

(part 2): As long as we keep the originality of the song and effects; plus showing the real dynamic of the character in an understanding way. I hope i'm making sense. x) Only asking it because I thought about to videos but not sure which one i'm going to finish first because imagination is a bitch. x)

Finally rendering my entry now! I know it's super last minute but I managed to get something in. :P I'll post it within an hour. I don't think my vid is all that original but the song hasn't been done for the couple yet and I've never vidded the couple so hopefully it's unique enough to count as an entry. I won't be heartbroken if I don't make it through to the next round though... :P I know my vid is not exactly amazing nor completely original.

if you do pick a couple that is edited alot; just try to edit them in a unique way.. ie; not a song everyone else has done to them or only using all their main scenes that everyone uses over & over;; that kind've thing. if you have something overused; do something to make it unique

so you're saying there is not a single character or couple in a show you do edit that you like but haven't edited before; for example i love damon/alaric's friendship in tvd; i've never edited them so they would count for me.

I entered my Vincent/Catherine vid for this, made it specifically for this contest and finished by the deadline of January 10th. But since you haven't accepted my video response yet or done anything with this contest... um maybe, you could accept my Drew & Amy Parenthood video that I just made instead as my entry? I am more proud of that vid and it definitely should qualify as something I've never vidded before that is unique - in fact that couple has never been vidded at all on KZbin. :P

i´m really sorry but that makes no sense for me. If i really love a couple,fandom,character and it means something for me then i already have vid it. If i don´t have the show or film i can´t. I don´t love the couples i´ve never edited,so i should lie?

if you want to do something like cat/vincent just do so in your own way; like don't edit them to a song a bunch of people have already edited them too; find a more unique song that hasn't been done alot; that sort of thing
