For those who asked for the 'lyrics': The first time I saw her Everything in my head went quiet. All the tics, all the constantly refreshing images just disappeared. When you have Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, you don’t really get quiet moments. Even in bed, I’m thinking: Did I lock the doors? Yes. Did I wash my hands? Yes. Did I lock the doors? Yes. Did I wash my hands? Yes. But when I saw her, the only thing I could think about was the hairpin curve of her lips.. Or the eyelash on her cheek- the eyelash on her cheek- the eyelash on her cheek. I knew I had to talk to her. I asked her out six times in thirty seconds. She said yes after the third one, but none of them felt right, so I had to keep going. On our first date, I spent more time organizing my meal by color than I did eating it, or talking to her... But she loved it. She loved that I had to kiss her goodbye sixteen times or twenty-four times if it was Wednesday. She loved that it took me forever to walk home because there are lots of cracks on our sidewalk. When we moved in together, she said she felt safe, like no one would ever rob us because I definitely locked the door eighteen times. She'd close her eyes and imagine that days and nights were passing in front of her. When she said she loved me her mouth was a straight line. She told me I was taking up too much of her time. Last week she started sleeping at her mother's place. She told me that she shouldn't have let me get so attached to her. That this whole thing was a mistake. But how can it be a mistake that I don't have to wash my hands after I touch her? Love is not a mistake, and it's killing me that she can run away from this and I just can't. I can't go out and find someone new because I always think of her. Usually, when I obsess over things, I see germs sneaking into my skin. I see myself crushed by an endless succession of cars. And she was the first beautiful thing I ever got stuck on. I want to wake up every morning thinking about the way she holds her steering wheel. How she turns shower knobs like she's opening a safe, How she blows out candles- blows out candles- blows out candles- blows out candles- blows out candles- blows out candles- blows out… Now, I just think about who else is kissing her. I can't breathe because he only kisses her once, he doesn't care if it's perfect. I want her back, so bad... I leave the door unlocked. I leave the lights on.

Thank you so much, that comment is lovely :) Having OCD, I get intrusive thoughts in my mind a lot. These can vary from various different themes, from hurting myself, to driving my car off the side of the road and so on. The thing is, OCD is an anxiety disorder so we do NOT want to act on any of the thoughts, we just worry about them a LOT. Then there are the compulsions. Compulsions and usually 'acts' one does to try and get rid of these intrusive thoughts. The compulsions can also vary, from touching walls, to washing hands, to checking things. However, the compulsions do NOT get rid of the intrusive thoughts, in fact, it makes the anxious cycle worse. It is a horrible disorder but I am managing to live with it at the moment. I have rough times and good times. When I was first diagnosed, I felt lost and couldn't eat much at all due to circumstances. It really affected me hard and it's been a long process but I'm starting to feel better. Thank you so much for your concern and lovely message. I hope you are well also.

I am mostly so happy that i forget the people who have such Problems. Their live isnt so easy like mine. And i am sorry for my bad language im from Germany. Just know that god loves you.

I may not have obsessive compulsive disorder.. but i relate to 95% of the lyrics. she was the best thing that ever happened to me. she left me after almost 5 years because i can't have kids.. i couldn't give her a family.. i understand why she left me.. but knowing that we still loved each other when we broke up.. god so many tears.. the depth of despair.. it was and still is the most painfull experience i ever had to make. she gave me the happiest memories. the 5 years with her were the best of my life. i tried to get over it but i just can't.. since we broke up i feel like i'm falling into the abyss and the bottom is yet nowhere to be seen. i wrote her a letter wishing her all the luck in the world and that i hope that she may find a man that can give her what i couldn't.. it feels like a part of me died when she walked out of my life. i don't think i can ever be the same again

I wish I knew why she cried when I showed her this. I spent 10 years wishing she would see me/us. The guy who took her virginity was one of my closest friends at the time. He asked my why I showed her that. I was her best friend. I thought I knew her entire world because we had spent so much time together and talked about everything. At least that's what I thought. But once I saw her tears I didn't know how but I knew it hurt her. She's gone now. I left after she chose her family which wasn't with me. She changed. She cheated on him and she also cheated with a guy that I've always hated. She never chose me. Always someone else. Why am I back here? Why did this stick in my head after so many years? Why can't I let her go... even after letting her go. She made me so mad that I left her forever, yet she's still in me. I want her to talk to me again but I've blocked her in every way possible. She doesn't even know where I live now. She won't reach out, I just know her and she's always been the one who's there when im ready to return. This time is different. I wont. I think she knows it. Either way. I'm here and only thinking of her again. I dont want love anymore because its not going to be with her. She's not even what I thought she was, so how can I say she's all I ever wanted. If she chose him and still cheats like she's single. She has 2 daughters and her first born was like my daughter because the father never really cared enough. I wish this would've went differently so badly. She was my world, she still is in some way. Why did you have to do this to me chelsea. All I want/wanted is you. 😒😕
