Route 177: Stagecoach London: 13064 (BF15KGU) Volvo B5LH/ ADL Enviro400MMC

Now to a more recent Volvo vehicle, with a double bill of B-class buses, as we traverse the twists and turns of Thamesmead in Hybrid hurry, with the only Volvo B5LH body combination until now I had not filmed. Its 13064.
New in 2015, 13064 was new as part of an order of 18 ADL Enviro400MMC bodied Volvo B5 Hybrids ordered by Stagecoach to Plumstead (PD) garage, mainly for route 53, but have appeared on basically any PD-run double deck route, including the 96, 122, 177, 180 & 472. Volvo B5s with an ADL body are especially uncommon, with Stagecoach London having batches at Plumstead & Catford (TL), Go Ahead's 16 EHVs, and 25 delivered to Stagecoach Fife in Dundee.
Our journey sees us on the lengthy trunk route 177, which runs from Peckham Bus Station to Thamesmead, Thamesmere Drive via New Cross, Deptford, Charlton, Woolwich, Plumstead, Eynsham Drive & Abbey Wood. The route dates from 1952 as a tram replacement route, the route at one point ran to Embankment, with journeys running from Elephant & Castle either via Westminster or Blackfriars. The route was diverted to Peckham in 1994.
13064 is powered by a Euro 6 Volvo D5K-240 engine & I-SAM coupled with a Volvo I-Shift 12-speed automatic gearbox. So one does hope this asymmetrical ADL Volvo video is well received.
