Amazing road, amazing video! I´ve been there in Septmber last year on my way back from Corsika via Route des Grandes Alpes. Again minus 1°C and snow on Col de L´Iseran like 2015 in June. :-) Carry on, I love your vids :-)

Hi, i must say great videos and music too! I have question. What camera you use and which setting? I have Sony action camera as 200v and when i use wide image which is 170 degrees, image geometry is out! Are you use wide setting too or something else? Anyway great trip reports on your web site, you inspired me to buy motorcycle for next season!

Thanks Davidos, I'm using the Drift HD Ghost, setting = 1080p (Frame=1080x1920) at 29fps. I prefer the Drift over the Sony and GoPro as it's easier to mount on both the bike and my helmet. Next year I plan to use the new Drift Ghost which can shoot in full HD at 60fps.

Thanks Dennis, what i dont like about my Sony , its stabilization. In some cases works fine, but other images looks like they are swimming or something like that. If i choose wider mod ,which is 170 degrees, there is no stabilization, but image is too curved on sides.

To be honest none of them are perfect, the Drift has it's issues also and as yet does not have stabilization. However stabilization tech for action cams is still in it's early stages of development, so don't expect too much from any cam with it for another 2 years at least. But as the race for sales continues action cams are getting better every year. In my first videos I was using the Drift HD170 which was great at the time, especially as KZbin did not have the ability to host HD. But now YT hosting tech is far outrunning the abilities for the action cams to keep up. To get the best quality vid on YT you have to keep buying the latest cam, and if you shoot in full HD you end up with massive files so you then need to spend on memory cards and external hard drives to store 'em. Then you need an extreem top spec specialized PC or laptop to process and render the finished HD video. My advice would be not to get too caught up on uploading the sharpest, clearest, stable, smooth full HD video as it'll cost you a fortune. I'm actually still using my old Drift HD170 which I'll mount on the bike in places where it's likely to get damaged, and if so I'll not be too bothered. Instead of stabilization tech on a cam I instead concentrate on a smoother ride by adjusting my suspention, lowering my speed and using an AirHawk seat pad, or rubber mounting to dampen the vibes which works well on most surfaced roads. Other imperfections in the source video, color, contrast etc I'll adjust in post processing using filters and the like in Sony Vegas. You don't need the best action cam with 100+ functions as this leads to other problems apart from the expence. For example, more functions = more processing the cams cpu has to do which leads to more heat it has to disapate and to do that the manufacturer has to make the cam physically bigger, and heavier. Best to keep your choice of cam fairly simple, choose wisely on the cams form factor that suits you and your bike, get creative in the mounting by testing different locations then be creative again in post processing, Sony Vegas is great for this and it's affordable if your serious about making vids. Good luck :)
