I rode the Route des grandes Alpes in June 2015. At the altitude of 2000 m the light rain changes to snow so at the Col de L´Iseran we had a lot of snow but the road was ok. Hope this year in September, when we will ride the Route again when returning from Korsika, weather may be a littel better

Great ride Denis and so quiet, what time of year was it? The para-glider had the birds eye view. :)

It was September, almost always the best time of year for bike touring, both weather and traffic wise. Not always, but usually it's the safest bet as my video's show, i.e. little traffic and settled weather ;)
