Virtual audio cables introduced too much lag between video and audio when we were sending from OBS to zoom. We gave up using Audio Monitor to route anything. If there was a virtual cable without lag it would be really cool. We struggled to dial down the virtual cable lag with every trick, but ultimately it wasn't acceptable.

I use voicemeeter (potato version) with virtual audio cables to stream to zoom. I also have the audio monitor plugin even though they cover similar areas. Voicemeeter and the virtual cables are made by the same group so it works very well. The only lag is the normal delay from the camera to zoom which people in-person won't hear and you could also set delay for major issues. I mainly use the Audio Monitor plugin when i want Zoom to hear a specific video or song. Worth checking out if you still want to utilize the power of virtual cables.

Just what I needed to remove the use of voice meeter from our set-up. Thank you

Does using this stop me from hearing the audio monitor?

Maybe I am blind, but this is the second or third video I have watched that you said there would be links to the plugins, but there are no plugins.

Downgrade to OBS 27 and Audio Monitor 0.7 until somebody fixes it.

This is such a good tutorial. Though having this kind of setup where both OBS and ZOOM can do livestream to FB, YT, etc, which app should render the streaming when using a single PC? Is it going to be OBS or ZOOM?

I would definitely handle the streaming with OBS because you can gain higher-quality video and production options. But, remember you need to connect the audio and video into Zoom from OBS in order to stream it this way.

@@StreamGeeks yeah, kinda struggling on that part a bit due to audio feedback, where ZOOM bounces back the background audio from OBS source to OBS streaming on FB. So folks tuned-in on FB are hearing the BG music twice. When I only need the speaker audio from ZOOM out to OBS. So what I'm doing when someone speaks on ZOOM, I am putting the BG music source on OBS to mute. I am using VB Cable to route the audio, with the help of the Audio Monitor plugin. I am definitely doing something wrong here, hehe.

Thanks for the video. Would these monitor sends be post fx if we’re using other audio filters on a given source? (I’m using OBS on a Mac and one limitation I have encountered with the built-in monitoring solution is that it’s all pre-fx, so if I’m using any limiters or compressors etc, none of that will be applied to monitor, they will only be applied to my stream output)

Using a M-1 Mac we have installed audio monitor 3x. We can't find it on the Mac and obs is not seeing it! Do you have any solutions?

On a Mac, Audio Monitor plugin disappeared from OBS once I upgraded to MacOS Ventura. Any suggestions on how to reinstall or are there alternatives to Audio Monitor that work on a Mac?

Is there a way to automatically turn off (or mute) sources that are not active, if the source is not part of the scene? My mic is picking up in every scene, regardless of whether it's loaded into the scene.

Audio montior 0.8 plugin won't work with OBS 27. PTOptics camera controller plugin won't work with OBS 28. We tried to upgrade OBS, all the plugins broke, ended up having to downgrade to OBS 27 and Audio Monitor 0.7 to get anything to work.

When you do VST Plugins, ... would you please cover OBS on Mac, ...

Yes. I can add a few mac versions. Figuring out when to that is sometimes the challenge
