Roux Method Alternative

Combining Roux and CFOP to avoid the Roux arrow cases by using CFOP PLL instead.

Nah - you don’t think it’s a better fix? Aren’t algs quicker than solving intuitively? That’s why CFOP so fast, but I think roux is easier to get the bottom corners in, because you are have more freedom. I’m only on 40 seconds with CFOP, but my best with Roux is now 22 with this.

⁠just solving the top corners and solving the edges traditionally (orienting all 6, solving the left and right ones, then the rest) takes fewer moves than you might think sure more algorithms can be faster but so does just doing less moves overall haha i understand that solving the two bottom edges can be relatively easy but trust me, recognising the orientation of all 6 edges can be much faster than looking for the two bottom edges (because the orientation of all 6 can actually be determined through just looking at the upper and front face)

@@looperover sure, it’s not always faster, and it depends on what’s there. If the two whites are up, then I think it’s quicker because the same PLL algs usually turn up, but if I got the arrow case, then it’s quicker to just solve it normally. In any case my Roux is 10 seconds faster than my CFOP, and I don’t think I’ll every get to grips with F2L. 😁

@@looperover BTW you have to show me that! The bit I don’t like with Roux is getting white yellow OLL. If there’s a nice way to solve that, I’ve not found it yet.

@@MrXeberdee i feel like you should get to learning full CMLL (those are the algorithms that fully solve the corners in one step) as you do know full PLL so it should be easy also i dont know what you mean by "White yellow OLL" Are you just orienting the bottom edges or something?
