When I get my quarterly bonus, I'm going to get me one of these! Looks like it will be a blast to run, and play with. I would get something to put between the fuel tank and the exhaust pipe to keep the fuel as cool as possible. Every gas station here has Ethanol in the fuel, and it's hard on rubber parts, but we have Ethanol free fuel as well, and I will be using it. I run it in my bike, and so far no issues. I can't believe they run these at a 25:1 ratio. That to me seems to be really rich. All of the equipment I work on is 50:1.

RakinBill they run these 1/5 scale motors at a richer ratio due to the higher RPMs. They run upwards to almost 19,000 RPM

@@stevej6824 The equipment I work on runs North of 15,000 RPM's. Chain saws, weedeaters, and such. I can see 32:1, but it still seems to be too rich to me.

RakinBill I agree it seems very rich too. I’ve got the 1st gen HPI BAJA 5B with the 23cc engine. I broke it in with 25:1 then after that I always ran it with a 30:1 mix with no issues. I’ve ran it leaner than that but then the tuning gets temperamental.

Sweet! Those little gasket things you referred to are for changing the toe of the rear wheels. Can't wait to see some wheelies Zac.

2 heat cycles 10mins each let it cool down between 1/2 throttle for rest off tank then rip oil fuel mix must be same every time tunning will stay more constant good on ya young fella taking an interest in gas nice one Steve hope this helps

They’re toe in spacers for the rear wheels. I run without them. I have the original rtr 5B and it was toe in a bit further than I liked. I tried everything with those and finally settled on no spacer.

This one actually runs on gas, and it's quite a bit different than a nitro engine. But the principles are close to the same.
