Funny how when describing the video quality you used the adjective “smooth“ as you were passing that paving truck that had the word “smooth“ painted on the side. You planned that, right? That wasn’t just a coincidence, right? But it was pretty funny. Great review. The camera just went on sale for $89.99 and I’m going to purchase it right now.

Not true. In a night scene where he discusses glare from license plate in front of him you can clearly see plate of car next to him in right lane at 9:21

I would love to find sample video from it and maybe their website has some as it would be straight from the camera. I had a Nextbase 622GW and a lot of people think those are good. I had mine for a day. I recorded some video with it on the road and the picture quality was terrible. It was full of artifacts and if that wasn't bad enough by default it saves a low res copy of each video. I don't want a second even worse copy of the same video. Instead put those CPU resources to use for better picture quality or something else equally useful. I want as much detail in the clips as possible. Enough that most license plates recorded are legible. Also it would be nice to catch small flaws on other vehicles too like dents and things. This way if they somehow get you to hit them or try to lie about it you can tell them they were already there and to eff off!! Oh and that bad picture quality on the Nexbase camera was even with their own branded MicroSD card. I doubt the card is anything special except a good one they tested extensively with their camera for the best compatibility. They are most likely a rebrand of other cards. Most likely the makers of most cards have a small production line where they custom brand things for companies like Nextbase to sell as if they were their own.

If you lower the exposure, you should see the license plate at night.

True, however, the darker parts of the video get REALLY dark. I found that if the license plates are not in direct headlight light, it's much easier to see the numbers.

The definition is the same as the Viofo a119 v3 and it’s more expensive. It’s a pass
