ROVER SD1 V8 Gets Launched!

Epic car, epic sounds!!! I always wanted an SD1, they were such an incredible car for the times. Beautiful lines, huge inside (and out) lovely V8 engine and practical with that colossal hatchback. In the early 90s, I looked at buying a 2.6 version (my budget couldn't stretch to the V8 sadly) and even took one for a test drive but the huge insurance price hike ensured that I couldn't afford to even insure it, let alone afford to run it. I ended up with a very boring 1.6 mk2 Cavalier hatchback and tried comforting myself that it looked like a mini Rover haha!!! I then moved onto hot hatchbacks but met someone who had a beautiful SD1 Vitesse and it brought all the memories flooding back, they are a great car. All these years later I still regret never having owned a SD1!!! You are a lucky guy, love the arches and it looks incredibly good!!!

Next time you're out and about, could you do some drive-by shots from outside? Would love to hear it move from outside the car.
