LOVE this place. That was something of an outhouse by golly! The area is absolutely beautiful!!!!! Loved the Prairie Schoolhouse! I think its awesome that places like these can be left unlocked and unsupervised and have everything left alone. The wall paper was something!!! Such a COOL place!!!! -Heidi

Steve Rob spreading his outhouse passion across Canada! lol. Nice video Spongie, got really cool when you went inside the train station, I was surprised it was open with all that cool stuff in it. Downtown was cool to. We have a Sams, but it is different from that one. Funeral home and pool hall, lol. Thanks for sharing Spongie.

It’s a nice mix of authentic old buildings mixed in with left over movie props. Not really a ghost town as it’s run by the 8 residents who live there ( hence the mowed lawns, painted buildings). The artifacts are donations from people living in the area or from family members who had relatives from there. The hamlet is divided up into sections of private property. Please see their Facebook page for the long list of rules and regulations before visiting. Camping on the privately owned land is free but watch for signage and no trespassing signs.

There are public toilets and more toilets inside Sam’s Saloon. On the last Saturday of each month there is a Pizza Night. During the summer months they bring on live music bands plus offer free camping. The Saloon is family friendly. The hamlet is pet friendly. The funds raised from Pizza Night goes towards maintenance of the buildings. Free tours of the buildings is also offered. The town is a museum. Check out their Facebook page and their GoFundMe page.
