Rowtor Rocks | Druids Cave | Stanton Moor | Peak District Hikes | Days Out With Kids | Derbyshire

A fun little hike checking out the caves / rock formations and carvings and Rowtor rocks AKA Druids Cave and then upto Stanton Moor where you can climb the Cork Stone, and see the 9 ladies stone circle.
I parked on the main road between Robin Hood's Stride and Rowtor Rocks, as I included that side into my day too, but if you want a shorter walk you can park in the village of Birchover or there is a car park & on street parking up near Stanton Moor.
This would also be a great day out for kids, as there is a lot to explore, it is more than just a walk.

"The Lady of the Peaks" She hikes for miles up hills and trails and narrow creeks..A wild swimmer in icy water we watch and shimmer.. She takes us to the highest peaks, on rock she stands to view these special lands.. She walks and finds some amazing routes, in poor conditions and muddy boots..Of she goes with dog on toe, rambles through the frost and snow.. Much to admire has she tackles her next desire.. barefoot venture..Char and Abs.

Water seems to follow you when you camp, not surprised I have not seen you do anymore. The caves looked great fun mind and I know my 3 year old grandson would love running around there and must admit, I would too. Yep they are just stones but how long they have been there and what they were put there in the first place always blows my mind - interesting watch. The barn owl looked good, not that keen on the elephant, cheers Alan
