Guys the knee lever is actually worth it. Been messing around with mine for about three weeks and it definitely a perfect choice if your coming from JLf and want to try out the Korean side. The tension is light yet stiff. I’ve been using several other lever and I can say it’s perfect for the middle guy.

@@31IVI3jZ I have both , the 309 mj is good it just doesn’t go back to neutral like the knee lever. But by default the knee lever has a heavier gourmet inside the actual stick which allows that snappy feeling back to neutral. But you can always buy a heavier gourmet for the 309

** Correction 2/1/2020** Hey guys so the 47c actuator is a 15.6mm, it looks my actuators may have gotten mixed up with some others. However the stronger switches still makes for a narrower-er corner in comparison to the Knee lever. I still hold pretty much to my conclusion in the comparison between the 47c and knee lever, though the difference in corners are similar. This also means for those of you who want cleaner execution, a smaller actuator may be able to help.

i just got this lever for my first korean lever, only been playing fighting games and using arcade sticks since December of last year, and i fit it into my victrix pro FS gen 2 JUST barely with out having to cut anything on my victrix's case. this lever feels AMAZING, im instantly way more confident than i was on my JLF or Hori Hayabusa levers, i struggled with movement even after 300 hours of japanese stick, in just 35 hours on this knee lever i can already do perfect electrics on kazuya, i practiced every day for HOURS on my JLF and hori and would maybe hit it 1/4 times after so many hours, i sat down after installing this bad boy, and hit practice mode with kazuya, and was able to hit my P electric 4-5 times in a row right off the start. and my wave dash IS SO MANY TIMES cleaner now on this lever, in your last round up i remember you said that sometimes on a JLF you mess up wave dash by jumping on accident by over compensating, i also had this issue but for some reason i couldnt stop my muscle memory from jumping in between wave dashes, i havent had this happen once since my knee lever. honestly super happy with this and im gonna try out the gamer fingers because of you as well, i just ordered 4red translucent 30mm with silver switches to match the red and gray aesthetic i have going with my victrix already, my other 4 L1 R1 R2 L2 im going to leave as my sanwa gen 2 silents i think the contrast of buttons will look good, and help me feel when my fingers are too far over on the stick so i dont accidently hit R1 anymore and rage art. i also used to ride the gate super hard on my JLF, but i dont have that issue at all with the knee lever its tension is just so much higher i feel like i dont ever hit it hard enough to slam it into the gate. personally i dont think im going to change anything on this lever. it feels perfect.

I got to try one of these levers on someone else's setup the other day and.. yeah. Pretty closely mimics the 'jack of all trades, master of none' feel I get from certain Crown levers but just.. a bit more premium I guess, with a sort of Alpha-esque sheen to it due to the flat collar although as you mentioned it has a full length throw. All-in-all not for me and I will still be sticking to my Fujin III. Though, lmfao, can't say I'm doing mad experimentation with shaft size and such. I love the lever as-is. The Knee kind of feels like an Alpha lever if the Alpha lever series had the smooth, balanced feel of Crown levers. Almost like the Alpha 47/49 and the Crown 309K HELPME had a baby. That's the best way I can describe it myself but idk if that echoes everyone else's feelings.

Have you heard about the Cool Bear Lever that's in development by Blunderbuss Designs? What about reviewing the 309 Benylis or the Golden Lever? Or the ASI square/octagonal short collars?
@alexnostalgix5 жыл бұрын
The cool bear is probably the one I'll be doing next. Golden lever is too expensive for me to really give it a try and regards to the 309benylis I will compare to another lever but won't have a dedicated video as it still feels like a 309mj. The collars are cool but doubtful I'll do a video.
@Vhaanzeit4 жыл бұрын
I have a cool bear lever. It uses an actual true circle gate unlike the majority of levers. If you take a regular Myoungshin (or any other Korean standard) people naturally assume that the collar is actually what produces the 'gate' of the lever. In fact, on the underside of most levers, there's actually a chamfered square like you'd find even on a regular Sanwa JLF except you can't actually change it. The Cool-Bear lever is one of the only levers I've ever known that has opted for a true-circle gate (outside of changing it yourself on a Sanwa JLF for example). It makes for gliding around the gate really smooth with regards to things like wave dashes and the like. It also features a removable collar (super clever addition) so Japanese stick users can fit it into theirs. Also being on a circle gate doesn't negatively affect KBD as some may think.

I play Eliza in tekken, 2d character archetype, so it's a middle ground. I've used Korean lever for 2D fighters before but I found short throw like the 309mj series to be more desirable. 47c or 49s would be great aswell since the throw is close to the same as a MJ. The dustwasher that comes with the knee lever, ive seen ppl put it inside the stick and not outside at the top ...where doest that go?
@colemanjones43744 жыл бұрын
So I am about to buy my first premium fight stick and currently I'm leaning towards a etokki omni with the taeyoung fanta lever. One thing I am worried about though is that I am coming from a hori mini stick which is very loose. This is the pad I learned on (I play street fighter but I may add other games in the future) and I feel like I would prefer a stick with less resistance because of that. I know the stick on the omni comes with a very stiff grommet. I'm wondering if you think replacing with a looser grommet would be a good way to go or if there is any other lever you would reccomend instead. I wouldn't mind paying a little bit more for a separate lever if it's a decent improvement
@alexnostalgix4 жыл бұрын
What I usually recommend for someone who isn't sure about tension is grab some the tension grommets that are available. Since the Taeyoung typically comes with the 45a, its the highest tension you can get, so going lower is pretty much your only option. I would say start with a 40a,35a,30a grommets to get a feel of which one may fit your alley then if you feel you need even less than you will know :)

Also, I think I've never asked you: how come you don't like the JLF? Once you put an octo on it, the diagonals basically disappear hahahah hashtagIreallydontlikethestockJLF
@alexnostalgix4 жыл бұрын
The 301 is actually one of the crows I have yet to try, probably in the future just not at the moment. Your timing is kind of funny with the JLF as I dont really hate jlfs....unless their stock. I had a bad experience with a shit Hori Hyabusa that had plenty of ricochet and then a stock JLF that was just way too soft which kind of jaded me. Then I got a new japanese style lever (sanjuks v3) and then tried playing on the jlf again with some small mods again which I ended up enjoying. I like the octo gates as its usually what I prefer but I just like the way korean levers reach the actuation of the switch is all.
