Newcastle City Hall concert 1972...fantastic...I'll never forget how they came on stage, through the darkness & into the light, wearing their incredible outfits...a spectacular concert... and all for the price of a 80p ticket!

how lovely that the 80th Century transdimensional alien rockers decided to stop by in the 70s and 80s and drop off some of their musical compositions for a brief moment.

Why were they never recognised as one of the most influential bands of all time, Bryan’s warbling voice, and the mix of sax, drums and rock n roll make this a masterpiece of style

Whaddya mean, "never recognised as one of the most influential bands of all time"?!! They certainly were in the UK. Roxy and Bowie influenced more bands and solo artists than anyone else. The Roxy-inspired list is very long. You aren't American, by any chance?

The first few Roxy Music albums are an essential part of my diet. They were so ahead of the pack. The only RM album that I can't jive with is Flesh and Blood. To me, it sounds like a transitional album. They were finding their footing, but hadn't tapped into an inspired approach yet. Arguably, this started with Manifesto, but that record still has elements of their previous records. It all paid off with Avalon, which is much more fully realized.

I'm a big fan of Roxy but I don't think this is live, at least the video doesn't agree with the audio. Perhaps "Live At The Royal College of Art" means the video is from a live concern, while the audio is from the studio album. Not complaining, just it would be surprising if they could play it live exactly as it is on the album. Especially Eno's part since it's with an analog synth and Phil's guitar riffs and fills.
