Hello Kate. I can relate to the challenges of working with new fabric. I've just been working on a piece with 'modern' fabrics. Oh golly! Give me the vintage goodies any day. I persevered through the pain, and found handsewing over the top really helped. I like the way it 's turning out. It just needs a bit more loving and then it's done. My heart belongs to vintage cottons and linens...materials that are happy to share a cuppa with me. I think part of my issue was using a couple of synthetic fabrics, chosen for their colour and texture. Soldier on Kate, it is looking marvellous. I know I speak for many when I say, we are glad you can't stop!! Amelia from Tas x
