Lovely start Sarah...just wanted to share a tip with you. I prefer to pull a long thread each time as well, for the same reason...don't like threading the needle as much either, lol. If you pull your long thread further thru your needle, it, of course, will be shorter and not get tangled as easily and it won't come out of your needle so easily either. You can pull it out a little at a time as you stitch along. Hope that makes sense. Happy stitching!!

I actually sewed a piece of thread into my "bottom" crease, that I'll remove, so I wouldn't forget where it was. Love this series so far and I can't wait to continue with them. Having a lot of fun looking at videos and the fb page for inspiration. Enjoy the day! Catherine

Beautiful as always, Sarah!! It is funny that as you are commenting on the heat, we are expecting record lows here in Washington State! It is forecast for 3° tomorrow morning with the wind chill feel at -22°. These are in Fahrenheit. I'll trade you a little coold for a little heat! 😊

I didn't think I would make a pouch....until the proverbial light bulb lit up! I am going to make one I can carry my cell phone in! I am thinking a zipper closure might be safer than a fold over flap, in this case. Maybe it will also hold some small hand-work bits I can do when away from home. [cc to Rachel's YT]

Just love this project. A great way to spend year making these to put gifts in for birthdays or Christmas. What an added gift to recieve these pouches. My first will be mine. Hi Louise- there are in Robertson in NSW in the start of March at the Greendoor Studio. They are technically both sold out but we could fit in 1-2 more people in the second one. If you are interested look at the Greendoor Studio website for specifics.
