This is part five. You REALLY need to watch this COMPLETE SHOW from part one (for PART SIX, hit • Roy Castle, Buddy Rich... ).

This is just class, and although Buddy and Sammy are first rate, it really has to be said, that Roy was one of the best this country ever produced. A brliant entertainer who always came across as a really nice guy, one of the best and certainly not out of place in that company!

What's remotely depressing about this? Can't you just feel the joy?

Bloody superb. Tempting to think that Buddy and Sammy steal the show, but what A Star Roy Castle was. One of this country's finest. Seemed like such a really nice guy, boy did we ever need a few more like him!

What a great event and a pleasure to see all these people together. The great Roy Castle could obviously hold his own with the best of them, back when it was all about talent and not just politics.

There is Roy Castle (RIP) doing his tap dancing thing and out walks, his hero, one of the greatest tap dancers ever, Sammy Davis Jr. Superb.

Buddy is also Roy's hero. He said "I would have swept the floor just to be here to see Buddy Rich."

They should show this episode at schools across the UK purely as an example how some very talented and interesting stars have total respect for their fellow entertainers. One of which is none other than the most talented people that ever lived Sammy Davis junior.😎

Garry Wood Agreed. These guys made it the hard way too. Kenny was a real problem on this too. Played his part and didn't overcook it.

With Michael Parkinson's death in August 2023, all five men have now gone. End of an era. Buddy Rich 1917-1987, Sammy Davis Jr 1925-1990, Roy Castle 1932-1994, Kenny Everett 1944-1995 and Michael Parkinson 1935-2023.

He was the first guest on the show but did his interview as Cupid Stunt. He changed back into “civvies” during Buddy Rich’s musical number. The Cupid Stunt interview is on KZbin.

What a marvellous combination of talent. Kenny Everett looked out of his depth though which is hardly surprising when in the company of such legends! Nice to have these programmes, but why scatter them when they can all be put out in one complete programme!

God, all dead now! Once upon a time as musical talent past, there would be new faces to take their place. I'm not so sure that's the case anymore.

What did Kenny do to Lionel Blair???
@semajttam3 жыл бұрын
On his Video show he had this thing called "Star Quiz" where various celebs (on this occasion Michael Aspel) sat under a tube of gunge and attempted to play a ni-on impossible quiz. Interdispersed between Aspels questions, it cut away to Blair saying how the shows rigged and alludes Aspel will "get away with it". Aspel doesn't and Lionel, cheering the loss, also gets gunged at the end.
