Yea I agree but no past, present or future fighter beats a prime Roy Jones Jr in any class from middle to light heavy weight. Heavy weight was really to dangerous of a class for Jones. He would have struggled vs heavy weights like Lenox Lewis or even big George Foreman ect. Roy just too small for that caliber of heavy weights. John Ruiz was the perfect heavy weight for Jones

Having just read christophere's commentary let me just say this is my first time watching Roy Jones Jr in action and better technique is impossible to imagine. He is fast. Light on his feet. Extremely fit. And a power-puncher. When mentioning 'The Greats' of boxing don't forget Roy Jones Jr, possibly the greatest of them all. Adds: notice his ability to shorten the distance in an instant. I don't recall seeing a fight ended with a body shot before...

I was so disappointed when Roy was robbed of his Gold Medal 🏅 in 1988. As soon as he came onto the scene you could tell Roy Jones Jr. was a different beast in the ring. Nobody could touch him or hurt him. He was always at the top of his game. Took on the best & defeated all fighters put in front of him on his way to becoming champion. I think his demise was moving to Heavyweight, he no longer dodged or evaded punches but instead was training to absorb Heavyweight blows & to fight a different way. After winning the Heavyweight belt, he returned to the lower weight class but he no longer fought like he use to as a Middleweight. Now he was hitable & right there to be punched 👊🏽.. no longer was Roy dodging with his superior speed & athleticism. Roy's age played a huge factor as well near the end of his prime. Roy was truly the best fighter of his generation hands down. It was amazing & a honor to watch this man during his prime & as he rised in the rankings on his way to becoming the pound for pound King. What a talent this man truly was, we wont ever see another like him ever.✌🏽
