Its criminal that Jim hasn't been doing commentary , there are very few people that can call a fight like this man, there are historical voices we all hear and it soothes us , Jim's is one of those historical voices, vin scully for baseball, bob cole, harry neale for hockey.....

Been watching Ariel since day one. He forgets who put him where he is. Sometimes you can spread yourself too thin. Ariel crowned king ,peeps be coming for the King. They best not miss , he got that Amazon corporate juice now. I am interested In the MMA ,what he is known for. Where he made his bones. The expert. So we accept the nerd. He does not have such a storied or expertise on other sports. I watched him cover the Olympics and prostitute himself on the LeBron narrative like the rest. In MMA he has yet been caught or has not done that. I am interested where this all goes.He is a MTL homie ,so I tend to support him. If he stops the original Monday 4 hour MMA hour ,his calling card , I will watch less content than before .✌️🥊🥊

Lots of softball questions here. Fact is, Jim Lampley was a consistently awful, biased commentator at HBO. Just listen to the replay of Julio Cesar Chavez - Meldrick Taylor fight back in 1990. It was the Fight of the Decade, and Lampley soiled it with his shameful call, along with Larry Merchant and Especially Ray Leonard. And later on he kept coming up with imaginary puches that were landed or not landed, and let his personal life interfere with his professional duties. HBO Boxing should have gone off the air years before it actually did.

That’s boxing hall of famer Roy Jones Jr, won titles all the way from middleweight to heavyweight, made over 55 million, drastically more than any UFC fighter will make or will ever make. And the other guy is Jim Lampley, one of the greatest boxing announcers ever, Joe Rogan couldn’t hold his jock strap. Hope this helps. Have a good day!
