I’ll give Rooney all the credit in the world. These modern players today don’t have to do anything after they retire. They have a hundred mill in the bank. They don’t have to work. They for damn sure don’t have to become managers which is basically a 24/7 job and especially for the clubs Rooney has worked for. He always takes the hard jobs, always gives it a good go. It’s a shame he just might not be cut out for it. I hope he doesn’t give up though. If he makes it then he’ll have deserved it.

He apparently turned up drunk for training at Argyle, was sent home, was frequently seen in bars and clubs on the Barbican and elsewhere, had a really fun time in Devon. Was a really shit coach and as usual a degenerate person, escort girls, etc etc. He is gone, we win again.

@@djr8227 You see this comment a lot, yet when you point out what he did at Sunderland they go silent. It's because they have no idea who he has managed, they just jump on a bandwagon and just put the comment on everything to do with management and Keane. It's actually sad. just like the one where he ended Haalands career but he played 3 days later. That social media for you, clueless people commenting on stuff they have no idea about.

Rooney strikes me as more of a coach rather than the actual manager. However, Keane could be onto something about needing more talented players who can actually execute his instructions.

This is disrespectful to Argyle - he was lucky we gave him a lifeline and he royally messed it up. Argyle are better off without this hopeless manager. I wouldn't trust him to manage a charity shop.

Rooney's failure as a manager has nothing to do with mediocre players. So how did John Eustace manage to get Birmingham into the top 6, and then Rooney came along and got them into the relegation zone? 🤦🏾🤦🏾🤦🏾🤦🏾 Rooney would get Barcelona relegated. 😂😂😂😂

Zidane, Ancelotti, Alonso, Arteta, Mancini, Guardiola, Capello, Simeone. You can make the argument both ways. Being a manager is about commanding respect. Players will be more willing to respect you if you were a great player. There’s obviously more to it than that but being able to command respect, especially in the Pima Donna era of football where everyone’s a multi millionaire and thinks they know everything is crucial.

Rooney shouldn't be saying that the Plymouth players aren't good enough and using that as an excuse for his failiure there. Rooney was once in the field of being a world class footballer. He should have tried getting an under 21 role at a big club. You have to stick to what you know

Im sorry but Rooney is not a manager. He should coach youth. Fair play to his endeavour. But Muslic has already shown that he can improve Plymouth. Working with better players is a kop out. Wouldn't every coach or manager prefer to work with better players.

So disrespectful to the Plymouth players to just say you need a better group of players to work with and then all of a sudden Wayne’s going to be the next Guadiola, its madness, utter nonsense. He’s failed at every club - its clearly him thats the problem.

I think Pep would struggle with Plymouth tbf Andrew. Avram Grant took an amazing Chelsea team to a UCL final. Even Di Matteo won it with the same team. The trick for a manager is to be allowed to build a te that suits his style of play. Clearly Roo hadn’t been allowed to do that. Still, he could just be bad though 🤣
@AndrewSabini
@AndrewSabini 9 күн бұрын
@ Tbf Pep is struggling with City atm 😂 maybe I didn’t use the best example currently but you know what I am saying. Just found it a little bit cheap to just think the problem isn’t me (Wayne) its the fact I’ve taken on a group of players who aren’t very good. He regards himself a coach, so coach them and improve them. I think Roy suffered at times with coaching lesser players too, the expectations of a player are so high when you’ve been used to being elite. Maybe Wayne needs to adjust, thats all my point was. Anyway, I’m not a United fan but I like your channel, keep going and growing mate 👍🏼

Thing is Roy is too brutal. He’d be good in the short term maybe but after a while he’d lose the dressing room because his fundamental flaw is that he thinks people should be just like him but he forgets or is unable to handle people with different personalities. Fergie understood the nuance of personality so he tailored his approach depending on the person. Understood that there’s lots of ways to skin a cat so long as it gets skinned so to speak.
