They were dark days and since FSG have taken control of the finances the club has gone from strength to strength. They see the oil clubs spending ridiculous amounts season after season and think that's what Liverpool should be doing - nah, i'd rather it be run like the well oiled business it is rather than as a plaything for a wealthy Saudi. FSG don't deserve the hate and the new fans need to appreciate what they've done for the club.

The main striker role is dead and thats why besides man city and barca there's no top names anymore as wingers are the preferred tactics to win games. Thast why Liverpool is trying to get rid of darwin just bcos he has a high value and not bcos he isnt scoring enough. the service to main strikers are much lesser now due to managers prefering wingers to shot or pass to the oncoming midfield as main strikers tend to be more tightly marked. every week we see that and its becoming to predictable and boring. there's not enough variety and characters anymore. Lower teams like newcastle and aston villa main strikers are more prolific as teams dont really park the bus and play low block hence why isak and watkins scores more due to more opportunities.
