United and Celtic go way back. There has always been an appreciation of the way each other try to play the game. I remember being @ Jimmy Johnstone's testimonial and theres been many games since. I remember all my pals from Glasgow coming down for the Rapid Vienna replay after Uefa ordered Celtic to play the game over 200 miles from Glasgow and 15,000 United fans came out to support Celtic that night.Real shame that some Celtic fans have recently found a soft spot for Loserpool but thankfully most Tic fans still prefer United !!!

For example in 1967 every catholic school in the east end of Glasgow shut early to celebrate the first catholic man in the whole of Glasgow getting a job in a bank or the fact that we didn't truly get equal rights in Scotland until 1991 so there's a few maybe learn why we aren't exactly found of people that treated us like that for hundreds of years.

I was working in Celtic Park as corporate hospitality lounge supervisor at this time,and came across Roy Keane on a few occasions within the stadium! Also got Old Trafford tickets for this testimonial match due to where I worked and cost me zero! I had a couple of superb days down in Manchester! The city is a lot like Glasgow! People are really friendly,and it’s just a great city for all it has to offer!! Manc’s & Glaswegians are very similar too! So it was a home away from home!!

Are you joking me, that man dragged MU through most games and if he'd played for Real Madrid, he'd be an even bigger legend there a team that's supported by the Bank of Spain and the King of Spain. Roy dominated most games he played, 12 and 1/2 seasons he gave to Man Utd and was an 8/10 every game a leader who led by example. One of the best passers of a ball under pressure, and one of the quickest brains. He pulled the string and controlled the game just as well as Scholes and Beckham. All the players that played with him said he was the first name on their sheet. That says a lot, it speaks volumes of just how good he was. To keep that standard for that long is astonishing.

All the MU players had Roy Keane as the first name down on the team sheat. He had everything and to do that for 12 and 1/2 seasons is an amazing feat. His body must have been shot to pieces which was evident as his Celtic career ended rather quickly. His body couldn't take the punishment anymore, the hardest working player I've ever seen. Very skilfull too with a wide range of passing on him. There'll never be another like him.
