I was 15 just about to turn 16 when I saw Roy Orbison perform at the Amphitheatre in the Darwin Botanical Gardens. I copped a ribbing from my friends who stayed on the bus to go into Darwin. The best $6.00 I ever spent with the memories of the concert lasting a lifetime. Chris AUSTRALIA

,@@margtravis7377 I don't know which concert you went to, but the 1 I went to was at the Royal Sydney Showgrounds and I and my friends had a ball and again whether it was a double bill or not Roy was on first and brilliant. The Stones were also brilliant and that's all that really matters, isn't it? 🎼💖🇦🇺

well we went to the melbourne concert opening act was ray columbus /invaders 2nd act the new beats then the Rolling stones and then Roy Orbison yes they probably did alternate every second night but they had equal billing and it was 1965

I read in a book on the promoter of the '65 tour that Jagger came to the promoter( Harry M. Miller)and was concerned about following Orbison on. Miller took Jagger to the local art museum and this distracted Jagger. I went to the Sydney concert and Orbison preceded the Stones. Good show.
