I was Roy's milkman back in the day and I remember he once ran up a huge bill then refused to pay. So one morning, I slipped some liquid ginseng in his gold top, waited till he finished his cornflakes then gave him a good hiding. He never tried that shit on again!

I can't believe he's gone, left us. His true and genuine friendly nature shines through in your videos. His determination and fighting spirit in his life of crime and in the fight game was the other side of him. In both, he outshone many others out there and his reputation to this day, stays intact. RIP Roy Shaw. I true British legend. 🙏

Another great interview Liam. You gained the trust of a man with a paranoic distrust of people. Roy was not a good father & never really spent a night with his children, under the same roof. They were mainly brought up in care. However, they were there for him when he got Alzheimer's & made sure he was safe from the predators who fleeced him of his money. It was sad that he spent his last years alone.

I was in the 137 club in Romford one evening in summer 1975, I was with some pals of mine , Roy offered us out for no reason at all, Roy was knocked out cold that night by a young man you'd of heard off. Roy was very beatable when you got in first .
