I have an immense respect and love for RWJ cause he can make a serious point about the fact we don’t have a working government but he folds in the fast food and golden coral puns to lighten up the analogy. Not a lot of comedians are actually able to do that so seamlessly, unbelievably entertaining guy to watch for all the right reasons

Roy Wood Jr. is a brilliant and hilarious man! I always enjoy his stand-up and his segments on The Daily Show. His podcast, Beyond the Scenes, is also excellent. Give it a listen if you haven't yet!

Roy's Beyond The Scenes Podcast was him auditioning for TDS, and he definitely got himself a show. He got me into and through an hour of a lot of things I probably wouldn't have found or finished. He's got the show under his fingernails, the lore. It'd be a crime if they don't consider him for TDS, and if they snub him, he could go get the slot after John Oliver, great time to launch a show now the world is resuming. Roy you playin' the market right? Ok now I'm ready to watch the video!

It is amazing how people "did" want to blame Roy Wood. I would have to believe that Trevor had been contemplating leaving the Show. He will be greatly missed but we all must chose our own path & maybe big money wasn''t his. He didn't particularly care for the cold in New York & he said, the show was "hard to do" but he made it look so easy. Gotta love him. I also believe he missed home, family & friends.

Roy Wood Jr... the first time I saw him was on the daily show... then found at some standup projects and my respect for him jumped 10 fold.. and now here listening to him so casual in conversation letting us know whats on his mind.. I wanna hear more, like my respect for him has jumped up another 10 levels... its like there are a lot more dimensions to his personality that they each need to come to maturity then he gets his own show... Like we need to see him do a full fledged sitcom like hugley.. or martin.. or like marlon waynes... like he should do 3 or 4 or more seasons of that then he comes to hosting a late night show ...love his take on social issues, love the chemistry he creates with everyone he presents with .. he has some knowledge.. like in his standups... he SOLID!!

I love Roy Wood Junior, don’t get me wrong, but Dulce Sloan would be my first choice for a new host of the daily show! Roy would actually be my second choice though. I wouldn’t be disappointed if he got it at all. But Dulce is effing hilarious! She’s never had its many pieces I’ve seen as other correspondents but give her a chance to really do her thing and I think it could be really great.

I don't understand how they can vote for a speaker of the house before being sworn in. The whole system is broken and makes little since. It should be, Get sworn in by the previous speaker. Then vote for the new speaker. But that makes no sense and we can't have that in government.
