Great video! We are booked on the February 17, 2024 sailing in one of the new Infinite Family Balcony staterooms. We are a family of 5 and the younger 2 kids are really excited about the bunkbed set up in these. All the new features seem great and looking forward to following the updates over the next year as construction completes! Obviously will be watching your videos from the inaugural sailing very closely!

This ship is crazy! We are looking forward to it in March next year! We havent even been on the ships with the Central Park neighborhoods yet and are just going on Odyssey this March so it'll be quite the change for us as we are used to their smaller ships.

Going to be on the inaugural also super excited to check this ship out. Really like that they moved the aqua theater inside so shows will not have to be canceled due to the wind. The pool deck also looks amazing love the swim up bar. Do worry it will attract to many kids with the surf side idea so hoping there is enough for adults (I will miss the solarium). Really excited to check it out though. Crazy everything they are putting on cruise ships now.

It's astonishing what can be built today. Still, she's another one not for me. Too large, too many people. But I have friends who certainly will try her and tell me what I am missing. By the way, the first swim-up bar came with Sitmar FairMajesty aka Star Princess back in 1989. Not sure if a smaller vessel had one before. So, Icon is not a first here. However, always great fun watching you two - keep going! 🥂

This ship isn't for me (too busy), and if I was spending that much money, I wouldn't want a balcony overlooking the kids play area, so I'm not keen on those areas. But if you're travelling with a kid, maybe around 9 years old, I can see why this would be a fantastic ship. It would make for the most magical holiday. The problem is, I wouldn't want to get off the ship! I wouldn't want to visit the port each day when I'm yet to try the mini golf, all of the pools, water slides, rock climbing and ropes course... Almost too much to do for a 7 night holiday!

Indeed, this is definitely a family ship for those with young kids. The location of the kids play area alone guarantees that. It's in a terrible location for anyone with a different idea of a vacation. All those little kiddie screeches will echoe and bounce around like crazy in there. It's itinerary and fewer cabins compared to Wonder in favour of more family cabins just hammer in the point. This is clearly meant to compete with Disney's new bigger ships. I do like the overall look of the ship though and it's potential. Makes me wonder what direction they'll go with her sister ships. One of them will almost certainly break the 10k capacity record. Will it do that by sacrificing a few of the family cabins? Maybe reduce/change the kids play zone a little to get a bit less of a kiddie ship? Still a family friendly ship ofc (can't not be with this many slides), just more inviting to adults as well. I certainly hope so at least.🤞

It is a busier ship, you have great points. I personally love busier ships exactly because there's so much to do! I don't care for doing everything onboard as long as I had fun, and I probably wouldn't eat in all the restaurants too. I also don't like land days, so I'd rather have lots to do inside the ship anyways! I love the color, I love the livelyhood, I like to see people having fun, so this would be a PERFECT ship for me. Everyone has different opinions and experiences. But that's why we have so many different ships for!

I’m loyal to Royal, I’ve been on 5 RCCL cruises. We are going on Odyssey for a Mediterranean cruise this Summer, very excited! This ship almost seems like to much, I’ll be eager to see the reviews after it launches. It is definitely nice RCCL is going more green!

I imagine if you go during the off season (when kids are back in school) it likely won't be at capacity, so there'll be more room for adults to explore. It's great that there are strictly adult only areas though!

I thought wonder of the seas had the WOW factor, but icon of the seas is in a class of her own. The only concern that I have is the thrill seeking ride where you are walking along a plank suspended high up but too far over the edge of the ship for my liking. How are they going to minimise people accidentally falling off into the ocean, triggering a full-scale search and rescue at sea?? Apart from that every other new and old facility is fabulous 👌

It's a behemoth monstrosity, but sections of it are very creative and impressive. It represents everything I hate about abusive consumption in America. WALL-E is coming to fruition! LNG fuel and fuel cell power are indeed progressive, but the waste that will be produced on such a vessel is unfathomable. Not to mention, there are lots of possibilities for fatal accidents with all those playgrounds.

I was on freedom and couldn't get near the pool or hot tub, they were always out of ice cream. The entertainment was great but very busy. This is great for families but that's just too many people for me. Unfortunately, they turned coco cat into an amusement park as well. Are people going to pay over 100$ a day for that when all this is available on a ship? I don't think so and any port you go to will be swamped. Great party boat but not a relaxing vacation. Not for me.

Whatever you do DO NOT book a cruise with NCL, They suck..... They constantly cancel stops, They change stops and make it a sea Day at their discretion without proper compensation. Apparently they do not realize that the stops that they cancelled might be the reason why you booked the cruise....

Nope! Be careful, this ship is designed to directly complete with disney which means...more families and kids. This ship is not your typical Oasis class crowd(yes i know its Icon class)...it will be packed with kids. It was overpriced and not worth it...I cant wait for the reviews next year. Hopefully Utopia will be more along the RCC brand.
