Hi, Tony: The very large bumpy fruit that the cook is cutting up is an Asian favorite called Ugly fruit. Ugly fruit is an acquired taste, due to the pungent meat flavoring of this fruit. I would have liked to see more sweet bean buns, including Ma faun, lo quat, lychee and dragon fruit, pickled salad, Mochi, seven treasures congi, Japanese curry and thai food served,

Good buffet with plenty of choices for Asian and Western tastes. I'm a big fan of congee for breakfast --- especially pork and preserved egg congee topped with a few spring onion slices and some fried peanuts, still topped with a few slices of doughy Chinese doughnuts. It's a nice change from the bacon and eggs, toast variety or even oatmeal. But the best part was the handwashing station. It's always nice to wash your hands before and after eating without having to make your way to the washrooms.

I used to work for an Asian restaurant. We put together a catering schedule for a local high school that had several Asian exchange students. I learned that Conge is a staple in the Chinese culture. They would eat it for several meals. The plain Conge is the base (sort of like Cream of Wheat, but Rice), and they change the toppings depending on the meal. Everything looks great! I like the variety of salads. You can definitely eat somewhat healthier and still taste good. Thanks for sharing!

Im just home tonight off a 10 day cruise and starving (hit a drive thru on way home) after watered down eggs and barely cooked bacon from buffet... Unfortunately most of food selections on our trip, outside MDR were mediocre at best. I wrote on evaluation and turned in that they need more diversity in offerings/more stations like RC offers (whether in Asia or not). I hope they'll consider cuz the buffet if like what you showed, can be a great option for lots of folks who dont want the sit -down experience of the MDR!
