I used to have a family of Kookaburras that waited on a tree branch for me to put meat balls out for them on the verandah rail, every Saturday.The male bird eventually got bold enough to eat from my hand. In the forest garden that was across the track from my place, there were Lyrebirds and their repertoire was extensive, including electric drills and Puffing Billy, a local steam train.

When I worked going along the Thames near Reading, I used to bump into Gregory the Grebe and Henry the Heron ! If I heard a high pitched squeak I would be treated to the sight of a Kingfisher flashing along the bank of either the Thames or if nearly to work The Kennet as the Kennet went into the Thames at Kennet Mouth. Also glad you like the Beeline metal mount, it really makes a big difference to the rubber bands. I saw on the news last night Woburn had in September 407% above the average rainfall. No wonder you waited till Saturday to get out on Walter ! 😊

Hi Beena another great Vlog from you and Walter! Oh such fun riding in the Autumn, nothing but rain, floods and cold! Winter commutes yet to come! I love your ornithology code names! Can't believe you even have nick names for the tree rats the cute little Squi Squi's! Lol it looks like you really look after Walter he is always sparkling! I struggle to keep my street triple clean in all these downpours, using muc off and ACF50 as I cover outside as no garage! Can't wait for your next video! @@dyhooper Thanks Dwayne 👍🏻 I love the squirrels. The occasional rats we get on the other hand are dispatched with an air rifle. We won’t be naming those little buggers! I’m fortunate enough to be able to keep Walter in the garage, so he isn’t exposed to the elements. He will be getting a good slathering of AC50 in a while though.

I found your naming of the species of birds in your garden quite funny Beena. We put out a lot of seeds, nuts and meal worms for the birds at home. Starlings came in flox during the spring. Now we've got alternating groups. 1 group is 4 or 5 pigeons and the other is several roox. It seems to be the bigger bird comes first. The last lot if they get a look in is the sparrow who live in the garden hedge like your sparrow do in your hedge.

Glad you didn't recoil in horror at the insanity that is Mrs Beena and I 🤣 I'd completely forgotten all about the pigeons we get! Phil and Anthony the wood pigeons, who are always fighting, and the Sopranos, which is a load of collared doves. I really need to get out more 🤣

Well been yesterday (Sunday 29/09))on A421 Marston junction and few weeks to drain it sounds quite optimistic. Wouldn't be surprised if it takes couple of months, especially after last night rainfall.

@@grahamcannon193 I don’t bother with it. I just buff it up with a microfibre cloth. I bought an all black bike because I hate cleaning and polishing 🤣
