Every RE classic comes with a fuel switch, in which you can switch down (down which means switching it on) when your tank is full and switch up for reserve (reserves means you have only 2 to 3 litres of gas left in your tank) and in reserve mode you could drive for only about 50 to 60 kilometers, so when ever u hit reserve it indicates that you need to refill your tank.

Anybody looking forward to buy a new 500 might wanna wait. RE is launching a few new bikes this year. The new test bikes were spotted on the roads here in India last year and the single cylinder motorcycles all seem to have the updated frame and SOHC engine from the new 2020 RE meteor , which takes away most of the vibrations that RE is notorious for. Also spotted were some new models, notably a cruiser bike with the interceptor's 650cc parallel twin engine, and a smaller bike, probably a 250cc.

Yes, I do accept the fact that you can ride this machine all day no problem or whatsoever, a capable healthy engine overall produces merely 27 horses with loads of torque from a 500cc mill. But the mediocre build quality, vibration, low back support and the fear of getting your tyre flat will definetely set you back. From my POV it can only be kept as street bike for your short weekend getaway to satisfy our lust for classic vintage motorcycles and not as our highway or all day companion.

You have to buy the anti vibration plate, maybe fill the handlebars with sand/cement. Add a piggyback ECU which can increase the speed 10 miles more. Or adjust the carb to the max. Also fit rubber washers if available. Bar end weights also reduce vibes. A smaller, straight windscreen looks nice. Do all this and you will get a better machine

Here's a idea.. If your bike doesn't start with the first kick, or if the kick backfires, then do one thing, without switching on the key just kick it once or twice and then switch on the key and kick it again.. It starts much more easily and smoothly.. It just removes the air from the engine.. You can do it every morning before starting the bike even after your fix the electric start

I like your video. I live in Massachusetts but originally I am from India and there Royal Enfield is widely available. There is a lower version of it, 350cc, people usually buy that one. For me I liked a lot as Bullet sells in US as well 😀

Good honest review. It's probably just as well you didn't sell it. That "Ravishing Red" 650 Interceptor of yours may be a more well-rounded bike with fewer compromises for modern roads (at least in the States), but sometimes an old Bullet thumper just "scratches that itch" that other bikes can't reach, right? I can't see EVER willingly parting with my '05 Iron Barrel Engine 500 "Military", and its "happy place" is even a tad slower than your UCE's, cruising most contentedly in the 50s (under about 90 kph). Sure, it'll go faster, but what's the damned hurry? Google Maps' "Avoid Highways" option is your friend.

@@kenwitz3763 Ha yeah, so few around by us man it wouldn't be a big club lol. The 500 series are obsolete now and esp my iron barrel , been done since 08. Once in a blue moon do i see another one. Enfields are awesome though, you have to be a real bike guy to own one and understand their charm , not for the maintenance free crowd

The fuel knob on the left side of the bike is how you know when to fill in your tank. Generally you fill in the fuel, turn the knob pointing 'ON' and ride your bike till it stops and then you turn the knob to 'Reserve' and go fill your fuel

its comfertable with adequate power, loved it, when a American praising it😊 All American bikes are very heavy, so i thought, before coming to video let's see a American complain about its low power and all. But loved your review😊

As u said bike has vibration on 70plus..try this.shift gears on correct speed..dont shift early..shift correctly use 5 gear only when u reach 60 ...then tight all engine bolts handle bars nut etc..try this one.
