That sculpture looks like a good place to change the motor in your truck. Put a chain fall at the top and have at it

anything is possible. looks pretty hi-strength too

That Wellington sculpture was made from the broken section of the Wellington Bridge truck accident in 1989. I’d say fairly significant. A few people died as a result. That looks to be a great round excursion Warro! Kinda reminds me I need to get out more for longer gentle trips on the Classic too! I read a few Banjo Paterson poems & novels in my time at school & trekked around the snowies too. Road an adventure bike along the Burke & Wills trails to the dig tree too🇦🇺

1989 eh! i recall that day. i was just returning from a fishing trip from warren and they had the road closed at geurie and there was a bypass set up to wellington. after that accident the bridge was out of action for quite some time too wasnt a bad run today. i had plan to run the camera but forgot the handlebar mounts so it was a no go there. bit warm out today too and probably hotter still where you ventured

@@ridewithwarro That oversize load ripping down Wellington bridge caused a hell of a ....storm, and the RTA had only just taken over from the DMR at the time.
@ridewithwarro3 ай бұрын
@@JoeC88 in the old days it was a pretty good looking period style bridge too. crossed it many times too. in fact the day it took the heavy hit i had passed over it that same morning on a regular fishing day out to duck creek via nyngan and over to warren. on return journey road was blocked and deverted the traffic from geurie into wellington

@@JoeC88 yeah i recall that incident. passed over that bridge on that exact day. out on a fishing trip to nyngan

That's a nice meander around the district, Warro. 👍Modern art's very much a personal thing; generally speaking, it doesn't do a great deal for me. On the other hand, the Enfield looks real good!

@@ridewithwarro Easywarro 🤣🤣 That is Damn Hilarious. A few years ago I saw two almost identical easyrider type Harleys Eastbound on the Gwydir Hwy heading to Grafton from Glen Innes ! Earlier the same day I saw a Burt Reynolds Pontiac Firebird copy on the New England, the driver wearing a cowboy hat ! I just needed to see the Black Widows from every which way but loose cruise past.

Wellington, where 'ice' is cheaper than beer, they say. I went up to Cessnock and back on the Bullet yesterday. About 260kms round trip, back at 8pm in the dark. Lots of dead wombats on the roadside, sad and scary. I hear Wombeyan Caves are open again, and Jenolan Caves road is open again too. I should make a big loop of them before it gets frosty. Are Wellington Caves any good? It would be 600+kms round trip from Sydney.

the cathedral cave is huge inside but overall a long way behind the jenolan. river cave especially as its the best around

The chap that made the statue, out the front of the museum, sadly passed away on 2 days before the unveiling of the statue. He did an impressive job. The only time I’ve been in the museum was when I was involved with Sydney to Dubbo Zoo2zoo ride (bicycle). I’ve ridden it 3 times but this day, only rode out from Dubbo to meet the riders for the last bit. There is a lot of war memorabilia in there. Also a full length leather coat that He used to wear. We recited the riding poem of his while we were in there having a smoko break. There is a lot of history in the caves if you ever want to venture down there. The Phosphate mine surprised me the most with the history angle. Well worth the visit. Did you enjoy the “animals on bikes” along Banjo Paterson way?
@ridewithwarro3 ай бұрын
i did. next time out there i might take my camera and snap a few photos on bike transport. back in the late 60's or roughly 1970 that kiosk area was loaded with aboriginal artifacts. i still recall some-one had returned a aboriginal artifact called "the bone" to that place and the person had scribbled a note saying they had nothing but bad luck since obtaining it. may or may not happened i dont know. was only about 18 i think when i saw that there dont know what happened to all that stuff never checked out that phosphate mine - not sure now if the birds and animals are still there either it was a bit late when i went through so maybe next trip out that way
