@markpercy4277 Yes it is a great shame. Andy is into his 70's now and there is nobody to take it over. But then again, he actually is the business! I think the skills have already been lost judging by the amount of bikes that come in with signs of of horrific bodgery!

Ah, yes. I enjoy watching their vids of the bikes with Peter bouncing round the potholes. They show some interesting bikes off and make wish I had a huge garage and a bank balance to match. 😀

Really enjoyed this one and totally agree with the previous comments. One of tje issues that i have found is getting the old stuff repaired. If it doesn't have the obd plug modern mechanics often have no idea....

Andy has no time to work on other folks bikes, just his own and he doesn't sell spares either! with 10 -15 bikes coming and going per week, it's full time work!

If there's a heaven ,it will look like this place . Thank you for showing it to us , it's marvelous ! [ as a certain vlogger would say ] . A real old school bike workshop , no frills , no BS . . I've always fancied a pre war Beeza , something appealing about the geometry , green colour and hand gearchange on the tank . Scotts have always fascinated me too , I don't know why , they're funny looking things . Anyway , thanks again for a wonderful visit . I could almost smell the place !

The pre war Beezers are real quality, made long before they started to make crap in the late 60's! Scots are quirky, If you can understand them, you haven't got one! The smell? Hmmm, Gear oil, paint and petrol is the closest I can describe it!

I started watching Andy and Peter’s videos since the last few years and have learnt a lot from them. Their videos helped me with several of my bikes to learn exactly where and what should be there which can be very difficult at times when you don’t have a proper reference. Andy also helped me out in linking me with Jeff Hunter for rubber components. Just amazing guys! Unfortunately since I’m from India, I can only drool at their stock which is always priced reasonably. I wish to get a chance to visit them the next time I’m in the UK! Andy and Peter are Legends!

@felixVanDiemen Bit of sadness attached to that pic. The rider is a a great friend and workmate at Andy's called Dave Berry, who had been with Andy from nearly the time he started in 1972. Dave was one hell of a character! The pic is one taken outside Andy's premises whilst he was up to his antics! Unfortunately, he lost his life in an accident with a car whilst riding to work on his BSA. i thought the photo would be a fitting photograph, of one of the cleverest men I have ever known and would ever meet! That's the story behind the pic.

@roberthocking9138 The BSA Sloper was their own design, but sloping engines were quite common in the 30's from all kinds of makes.

With this video comes a question up that I would have liked to ask you for a longer time… Where was the Enfield Bullet 350 placed in the market in the 1950s? Was it the working class hero that brought you to work every day or was it more an enthusiast bike that was used for club races?

It was all 0f those things. depending which model you went for. The trials Bullets sold quite well, but the standard 350 Bullet in road trim was aimed at the same markets that BSA, Matchless, Norton and AJS had a big share of and that was a basic well made 350 that would get you too and from work all week and where you wanted to go at weekends too. They were never sold as an all out performance machine!

Yes, I guess so, But BMW were always a very high quality machine!

@@Volcanicbrown1878 Yes the BMW was always placed on top of its class here in Germany, but sold especially in the 250 category quite well. My Grandfather bought a 350 Horex with Steib LS200 sidecar in the 50s brand new and owned it till his dead in the late 70s I remember him still riding his Horex trough the winter when he had sold his car (Mercedes 170 Diesel), because he felt to old to drive a car safely…😇 Where the Bullets used with sidecar too? Another question - how close is the new Classic to these old Bullets from the engine feeling - has it this low down torque?

Well, as you probably know, I have both. The new classic 350 is a lot more responsive than the old cast iron 350's and has very similar torque and 2 more HP. The new one's are a lot more economical than the old but are lacking a little in character.
