As someone who lives in Australia now, I sure do miss my bikes in the Scottish country (mid 1970's) with my GF on the back. As a grandad now and the RE 650 classic coming out next year, it will be good for me on the Aussie back roads. Nice memories, thanks.

Hi Bruce. That was certainly a good run you all had. However you missed your chance! From Dunn's you should have ridden south crossed the Tweed via the Union Chain Bridge into Northumberland and you would have had sunshine. 🤔😉😂 Thanks again Carl.
@Coastriderscotland Жыл бұрын
Thanks Carl, we were at the Chain Bridge in the Jeeps last week and that film will be up this week, but will go again on the bikes! 👍 We also have got another day trip to do across to Wooler as lots to see there and more good roads 😁👍 Cheers Bruce

This is one of the best ride out videos I have seen. I live further down the A68 in the Tyne Valley. Lovely country right along the length of that road and the areas around and about it. Brilliant video Coastrider. I will be looking at more of them.

When I saw the stone commemorating some Polish troops who had been in your area during World War Two, this triggered a memory about A Polish soldier stationed somewhere along the East coast at that time. If I remember what I read correctly ,he came up with an electric battery powered Land mine detector . They tested his machine on the sands there and it was used by the allies to great effect. Its not much but its all I can remember about it as I read about it years ago.

Hi Dez, i am going to go online and search for this, as i also remember reading about a Polish mine detector, make a good wee film to share 😁👍 Cheers Bruce

More roads for me to explore next time I'm up that way. I got back this afternoon from my latest trip, the first on my Classic 350. My stay was shortened as my campsite slowly disappeared under flood water and had to be evacuated. With nowhere else to stay I made the 200 mile journey home in one go (and 1 tank of fuel). No problem for the Enfield but not great for the old knees. At least it was dry and sunny back in England 😉. On a coffee stop a friendly GS rider suggested a route from Cappercleuch up past the Megget and Talla reservoirs. Stunningly beautiful. Cheers Bruce, keep 'em coming.👍

I love your country roads...! To break in a new bike; to go no faster than 45 mph in 5th gear for the first 500 miles; Then report to do valve adjustments; adjustments in general,etc., These roads, to me seem like the perfect roads to break in new bike properly...

Hi and thanks for watching and leaving a comment, the roads here are made for the Classic 350! Perfect for this amazing bike that I and so many folk continue to enjoy and love as the miles and journey continues 😁👍

Hi Bruce, Another enjoyable video featuring nice countryside. I’ve got the same classic 350 signals model as your pal. Already done the air filter, de cat and fuel X mods, now seriously considering the camshaft kit from Hitchcocks. It’s a bit expensive but their video makes it look relatively simple to fit.

Be great to ride a 350 with the Hitchcocks Camshaft! 😁👍👍👍 If you do it report back on how it goes! Cheers Bruce

I think I would prefer to be sitting on the cozy Enfield saddle rather than the on the plank fitted to the Honda . (but then I might be biased due to the concrete block fitted to my NC750X 🤔...)
@Coastriderscotland Жыл бұрын
Trail/enduro bikes do have seats like planks compared to the luxury budget RE Classic 350 seats that are proving comfortable enough for 400 Mile days
