Just the kind of roads I love. Mine happens to be the same colour, got it second hand for my 60th birthday, just 4000km. And I've already enjoyed over 50000km of small hills and mountain roads, Ardennes, Auvergne, Alps, Pyrénées, Scotland, Carpathians...

I feel so relaxed after watching your dream ride , this how motorcycling is to be enjoyed riding in a relaxed manner taking in the beauty of the area you are riding through! I am a Royal Enfield owner too , although my bike is an interceptor i would love to own a classic 500 with it's soulful thumping engjne.

I am a big fan of RE, so I need to correct some of your facts. Your bike is a classic 500 not a bullet these are two different bikes. The only thing of the C500 that comes from the 1950s is the look. You mentioned the fuel injection but it also has electronic ignition, in fact it has a UCE or unit construction engine whereas on the older 500 (pre 2009ish) had the engine separate from the gearbox. In my mind the C500 is the best bike ever, I own two. Even though I enjoyed the scram, the 500 has something special. The kick start was left out because it serves no purpose other than to exercise your leg but I agree it does look the part on a classic bike so even though I don’t use it I still want it. Morning Peter, oh wow what a place to live and ride, I’m super jealous! If all goes to plan you might spot me there in may. Yes I went to check my carte gris too and it says the same, must be a euro thing although technically it’s wrong. My SA bike registration just says RE, no mention of any model whatsoever
