Hi I got g2 model enfield . There was problem with clutch - means when I tight the cable it lost power after short distance . Changed the entire plate set . Still problem , adjusted from the gear side - but after some time the clutch lever becomes loose . Is it clutch cable problem or any advise Thanks Joshy

Check whether you have proper play as mentioned in this video ( inside the gear box)

Hi, your videos are very informative. I am facing problem of gear going to neutral every time when I am changing gear from (high to lower gears) 4 to 3 or 3 to 2. This problem is not there when I changing gear from 1 to 2, 2 to 3 or 3 to 4. I have 1972 model Royal Enfield 350. What could be the possible reason. In my area there is no mechanic for Royal Enfield.

Do you use neutral finder for changing gear?

EC Fix Dear friend, no I did not use neutral finder. I am finding this issue when I am riding and just trying to change the gear from 4th to 3rd or from 3rd to 2nd. When I am changing gear from 1st to 2nd, 2nd to 3rd and 3rd to 4th there is no such problem.

Is the grinding noise is coming for the second and third gear positions? Are you feeling difficulty in all the gear shifting or to any specific ones?

@@ECFixeljin the grinding noise coming only from 4th to 3rd and I feel hard to change all gears. Using neutral finder in 3rd gear is too hard, I need to kick hardly 3-4 times. Thanks bro for your reply

Adjust gear operator selector to solve gear shifting issue. Check the tension of the primary chain for grinding noise.

Sir i recently buy a carburetor from your recommended site,. Carburetor is fantastic bt some different.. the pipe which they supply.. i want to know what is the use of this pipe

Normally carburator has two hose (pipes). * one is for overflow which is present at the bottom *another at the side acts as a vent for releasing pressure and helps in free flow of fuel from tank to carburator

I have the same 4 speed gearbox. But my clutch is very Hard, cable brake frequently. What to check/adjust ?

Open the gear box cover to remove the clutch rod and insert one cone set ball inside the hole from which clutch rod is removed then reinsert clutch rod. Now you can see the clutch rod projecting out. Then replace the cover and adjust clutch.

@@ECFixeljin one more point sir I have poured EP 90 gear oil. At idle (engine start & gear in netural position), oil drop from gearbox cover. After engaging grear, dropping stop. What can be reason ?
