I have been wanting to ride one of these for sometime and I wasn't disappointed. Thank you to Bill Smith Motors the newest Royal Enfield Dealer in the North West for letting me ride this bike.

I rode the Interceptor 650 few months back, these bikes are incredible. Unfortunately here in the Netherlands they now cost €9.300, not a large gap anymore towards my 1yo T120 and then I consider the latter a little better :)

I like the classic British green. If I had this bike, though, I'd find some kind of maroon tape to cover over the silver stripe on the gas tank - make it look more vintage. I don't care for the '70s-ish cartoon-y RF logo, either. I'd search ebay for a more classic Royal Enfield badge. There's a wing logo that they used to use in the '60s & earlier, I like that one.

I think the Interceptor has the “proper” badge on the tank so I wonder if it’s possible to pop one of those tanks on this seeing as the two models are very closely related both in terms of looks, build and performance.

@@friktionrc I've seen the reverse, where someone has put a ContiGT tank on their Interceptor. Personally, I like the shape of the Conti tank, but if you prefer the Interceptor's, I bet you could do what you suggest. It has a hair more capacity, too.

How do they do it? My guess is cheaper labor but who knows. Great review. Beautiful bike. I too like the British racing green color.

Hi Robert. I guess it’s because their bikes are manufactured at home using predominantly own country manufactured parts. They don’t have huge supply chain issues and import export and shipping costs that have stung many other manufacturers who became greedy and outsourced manufacturing to other countries. 👍

Hey up Jack, has your back and wrists recovered yet! Only joking comprehensive review of a true modern classic. I have some news for you 1. I've decided to part company with the T120 as I've come to the conclusion it's to heavy for me, therefore I've gone for a Kawasaki z650 rs to replace it which deliver's a weight saving in the region of 55kgs. 2. Now I'd like to give a shout out to another youtube channel Lemon Drizzle Gang, a group of middle aged men with a big interest in restoring old classic motorcycles. They have organised a event in aid of Ukraine at the Midway Truck Stop Prees Health SY13 3JT on Sunday the 8th of May. I'm going, wondered if you may be interested.

Hi Mark. Great to hear from you. Sorry to hear about the t120. Yes it it heavy if you have to move it around. The Kawasaki will be a great bike. It will feel really light and nimble compared with the t120. I’ve heard good comments about it. Re the meet up. I will get back to you when I am able to check the diary later. The Midway is a short hop for me. I used to go up to the Raven every now and then. 👍.

@@JackBonhamMotorcycles I used to go to the Raven to back in the day when I was living in the Midlands. It's a 2 hour trip for me from North Wales, however I good ride over the mountains to Bala and onwards through Llangollen.

Hi Jack Dealer near me (CooperB) have custom made bars risers for the GT. Ian the owner recently put a vid up and advised that many customers come in with the view to buy the GT but walk away with the Interceptor due to comfort. The risers make the GT more comfortable. Wondering what you made of the peg position. Risers won’t change that. Regards Denis

Hi Denis. Yes I have heard that. I have even heard owners swapping for interceptor bars . To be honest I didn’t think it was too bad even more comfortable than most sports bikes. But it doesn’t lend itself to long extended periods of riding. But that said that’s the point of the bike. It’s a fun bike cafe racer style meant for short jaunts and fun rides to the next cafe 👍. The pegs we’re actually ok. The position didn’t force you too far forward as to put too much pressure on the wrists.? I did like the bike but for me it would have to be a second bike 😄that came out for jaunt every now and then 👍

I have 2021 GT650 and lowered the bars and turned them in. I found this position less of a stretch than the factory setting. The bar impinge on the tank when doing tight turns, but that's not a big problem.

Nice video, as allways 👏..I know that's not the purpose at all for this kinda bike, but don't you think there's a lack of power? And a simple shift indicator would be nice too...anyway, a modern classic should be,...modern. But I really have to try one of these🙂.. Abraço ✌️🇵🇹

Hello Praxedes. Thank you. Yes a shift indicator would be nice 👍 especially with a six speed box. Power was actually ok 👍. I was surprised it didn’t feel underpowered at all. That said if you were used to riding a much more powerful bike then you would notice it. It depends on riding styles. A rider who uses a bikes power and wants speed quickly would notice it, but I think 🤔 the bike has a great balance of power to be fun. 😀obrigado e passeio seguro. 👍. (Thank you and ride safe) 👍
