This makes me thankful that all the interceptor 650's at the dealership I bought mine from all came with fork gators from the factory. Dealer said they just started sending them that way.

Yeah it’s a smart move from the factory. When I bought mine, only one of them had gaiters but it wasn’t enough to make me buy that one. This was a pain in the ass but I’m glad I did it.

I also got TEC torpedo shaped indicators to go with these fork clamps. Really nice quality. I like how that bike is shaping up. Really excited for your next mod.

I debated between the motogadgets and the TEC torpedo ones. I may swap them around at some point, but for now, I like these. The TEC ones are definitely a great looking set of indicators. Thanks for coming by!

anyone watching this the bar ends are held in with shims, unscrew the bar end bolt totally to take the cap off. if it comes loose and spins just press the cap to the inner bolt to make it turn, has a lip on the inside, then to pull it out you can shimmy out the shims. Makes sense when the caps off.

Love to know how it feels when you ride with those clip-ons this low. I dropped the originals as far as they can and i am thinking of replacing them as well for the ones you have.

It takes some getting used to. Since I dont get as much riding during the summer it is always a little uncomfortable until I get going. Also… when you turn the bars all the way to one side, your hands will be pinched between them and the tank

@@UncleBogator Yeah, i didn't think of that one. That's true as well, there is very little space for your hands if you turn the bars to the endpoints. But anyway, you won't do that while riding anyway, hopefully. ;-) I lowered the original ones to the top of the triple clamp and i already noticed a big difference. It improved my riding position a lot. I'm not sure if i want the bars to be even lower than that. That's why i asked.

So glad you got rid of those old mirrors. But now that you replaced the head light bracket and handle bars with a black option, your front fender bracket is really sticking out. I think someone make a black equivalent as remember others replacing the original one...maybe they powder coated it, but I don't think so.

Thanks Paul. I have several things I’d still like to do. YSS suspension is high on the list. New levers and cables, led headlight, s&s cam at least and maybe the reprogrammed power commander, Hitchcock’s headers. Just a whole list of things lol. Also want a more permanent solution for the tail. I don’t like the gap caused by the MK designs kit. I like the kit but it’s temp.

Hey Mike or anyone else in the comments section, I just ordered the TEC brackets (super excited) but I looked and I don't remember seeing any clip for new turn indicators...(the ones at very end of the video). Did you separately order that and if so could you let me know where from? OR did it come with the TEC brackets? I love the minimal design, I have very small indicators from MK Design, trying to go minimal and most exposed as possible. Thanks so much, any help would be VERY appreciated.

Out of curiosity, why do you think this would void the warranty? Is it specific info you got, or just a video tagline?

Royal Enfield is pretty vague on their warranty terms, but the information the deal gave me was that any structural modifications would void the warranty.

@@UncleBogator That makes sense, but there's nothing structural here. Structural would be frame. Fork gaiters and headlight bracket are cosmetic. I mean, if they called headlight bracket structural then they could definitely call handlebars structural as well. I think Structural refers to frame.
