hi guys, Probably you guys were lucky... you got the right bike.... but for me it............. on 25 of august 2016 i purchased Himalayan bike( Royal enfield).After reading all the reviews and videos.Today its 28th so its been almost 3days. I drove around 110 km. So let me list out the problems with a brand new bike. 1. Electrical issues. Seriously?? 2. Heating up near your left leg. 3. Non stop noise from windshield and speedo meter. 4. Noise from engine and vibration. 5. Still wondering what the exact sound of the himalayan engine. 6. White smoke. 7. Sudden engine off. 8. Royal enfield service centre wondering why? 9.Mileage- 25- 27 (wow) I really dont know what should i do... i know you guys must be laughing at me. For you guys 1.8L is nothing. For me it means alot. Its hard earned money, not black money or my father is F**king rich. All im asking and request middle class and lower middle class people to think and buy stuffs. Dont read the review or watch videos and decide, they are paid review or they are doing it to get famous. Guys royal enfield with never help you. They just need money and they are happy. Thanks guys.

Excellent review. Mojo clearly crushed himalayan's 400 cc heavy engine. But still you mocked the mojo in the end. :\ I have seen some really crazy off roading videos of the Mojo. The bike literally can go anywhere. But obviously does not have a higher ground clearance than Himalayan. For touring definitely Mojo. For use and throw after brief off roading RARE session - Himalayan.

I had a old cast iron Bullet and had a cbr 250 then brought a Mojo. It’s been the best of all the three I would say and the engine is so smooth. Built quality is like German tanks. This video is like comparing oranges with apples. Please stop doing this injustice. Mojo is way far ahead of any motorcycle in 300cc category. I don’t call it a bike it’s an extension of my skin. If anyone doesn’t agree to my comments pls do ride mojo then compare it 😉

A long distance stretch from Bangalore to Leh would be approx 10000 km, of this you will probably have 2000 km of bad roads including the Himalayan off road stretch itself. now, you do the math and tell me which bike would you prefer to be on 80% of the time, its obviously the Mahindra. Rides like a dream on the highway and rest assured you will reach Leh, considering even a Scooty does it! lol

I have cancelled booking of Himalayan today after waiting for 2 months. Quality on RE bikes really sucks. RE takes a lot of time for delivery which according to me is the just the hype created by RE. If anyone wants to check the quality on Himalayan then they should take a closer look on the bike they'd know what I'm talking about. For 1,78 on road price what you get is a long unnecessary waiting period and a product which seems to be built by some Hammersmith.
@danendrabhat8 жыл бұрын
Ok.. Then why u booked it in first place?
@zauq50108 жыл бұрын
+Danendra Khanna Good question !! I wished to buy a bike which would be suitable to my age. I'm in late 30s and Thunderbird 350 seemed to be the only option I liked in RE family. I always hated RE bikes for their unnecessary long waiting period, pathetic quality and stone age bikes. However, I didn't have much options to choose from hence decided to give it a try once. I visited RE showroom to inquiry about Thunderbird 350 and came across Himalayan. It looked different hence I searched for initial impressions review online and decided to go for it as it has much less vibrations, its flickable unlike other RE bikes. The quality was as pathetic on Himalayan as on any other RE bikes. As I mentioned that I didn't have any other options hence I convinced myself to compromise on fuel injector, tubeless tires, pathetic quality etc on Himalayan and booked the same. I owned Duke 200 and now have RC 200 and these bikes had all of the necessary stuff Himalayan does not have. As I waited for delivery of Himalayan I visited RE showroom couple of times and also test ridden Himalayan. Every time I visited RE showroom and taken a closer look on the new bikes it bothered a lot about the quality for the amount I was about to pay for the bike. Although, the engine is new according to RE but it has all the characteristics of old RE engines, finding neutral on Himalayan is as challenging as it is on any other RE bikes. The gear is pretty hard on Himalayan, not just on test bike as RE showroom sales staff always say but even on new bikes once they get heated up. The waiting period forced me to re-consider my decision before putting in Rs.1,78 lakhs in a so called new bike and also read horrible stories of new buyers online. Like a new buyer took delivery in Delhi and rode only 10 kms from showroom and the gear box got damaged, another story that RE dealer in Chennai returned two new Himalayans to factory as it didn't clear PDI (pre-delivery inspection) due to quality issues, another story that the so called new engine has a pretty loud tippet noise. I'm not sure of others who are buying Himalayan but I would not waste my Rs.1,78 lakhs for such a worthless product which I came to realize during the waiting period.
@zauq50108 жыл бұрын
If RE lovers love RE bikes despite all the flaws let them do that. You must have heard the following "Dil agar aaya Ghadhi pe toh Pari kya cheez hain".
@danendrabhat8 жыл бұрын
Yaa.. i also heard some of these stories... It will be good to buy a bike after 6 months of it's launch... this is true for any bike/car from any manufacturer... I had same experience with my classic 500.. i booked it when it launched... but then cancelled the booking and then booked it again after 3 years... My bike don't have any issue.. not a single drop of oil is leaked till now... I am planning to buy himalayan now.. but I will wait for a year to see over all design and manufacturing defects to get detected and fixed by company...

Overall a good review Motorbeam, cheers. Mojo has off road capabilities because it has good low end mid range torque and a fantastic riding posture, seems like you were giving the Himalayan it's due credit in its one area it excels over the mojo by mocking at the laters off road capabilities. Humor is good but don't resort to it at the cost of your review credentials.

You see RE bikes all around. Even you don't see at least the other Mahindra bikes. Why? Lack of proper advertising.
@achugs32666 жыл бұрын
Yeah... Lack of proper advertising. But there is an another interesting factor. We cant see lots of Mojo in road. So the people will look into mojo like something very special. Most people wont ride off road wether they have himalayan or mojo or any other bike. Hard core off roading riders never gonna buy both, they will prefer any Dual Sport bikes. When it comes to touring there are plenty of riders in our country. Weekend rides, occasional long tours etc . Such people will spend most of the time on tarmac. So people living in hot conditions like mine or even experience traffic severely pls go consider other options like mojo or Classic350 as well... Himalayan was made a off terrain vehicle and surely mojo isn't so not fare on the off roading comments here... All vehicles we buy are driven only on roads or muddy roads at worst cases i believe the mojo with its perelli can handle them well...

So people like me who's 26 years old have no option but to skip RE actually because in old days my dad and grandpa and all odr tough gentlemen used to own one look like majestic riding them bt Nw wid small kids riding them I'm feeling awkward... big suspension jump work when you do braking test from speed from wherre you want to measured time/distance so you ride real 80 and push deceleration butttom not when you riode 100 for egzample push decelration buttom and racleogic measured decelration form 80 to 0 let say because suspension have time to compress and iven if you measured time and push buttom decelration on speed which you measured than still results are very fucking bad .
