Just picked up Hunter 350 in Rebel Red. 1st bike. Super fun. Excellent in the city.

Congrats!! I’d love to hear your thoughts after owning it a while. Ride safe!

Riding a slower bike at normal speeds or through traffic is fun . And you get to ride it more on the limit which is fun . A fast bike is not fun when you can’t go fast .

And if you swap out the air filter cover for a larger aperture one it gives a much deeper growl to the exhaust and a noticeable increase in power.

@@rosswilliams531 Nice! Do you know of any other mods for the Hunter 350?
@rosswilliams5318 ай бұрын
Ive watched plenty of videos about upgrading exhaust, cams, fuel x plus gearing sprockets òn these 350's but I'd rather stick to just upgrading my air box cover as the improvement seems instant for little cost plus I don't want to invalid the warranty. If I needed more power then I'd probably just upgrade my bike. Good fuel seems to improve performance too.

One cylinder is wonderful - the state of tune is spot on - of course, you can tune it like the triumph to be 40hp but it would lose that lazy mellow delivery - I ride an SRX600 its XT600 in road garb and it's in a similar state of tune giving 40hp - the answer to power is cc - a 600cc Hunter with a 4 valve head in similar low state tune would make a great motorway muncher

You gotta love the singles! Is it difficult keeping the SRX600 running? Both of the motorcycles I own are older (23 & 20 years old). They're fun, but you can't leave them sitting--they don't like that!

I swapped air filter and installed the fuelx pro plus. It’s a totally different bike. Next I’m adding a full pipe and Hitchcock performance cam. It’s already plenty fast enough but it just needs a tad more on the larger hills here in the Smokies.

I just googled fuel pro plus--super cool! I guess the Hunter 350 has some hidden power, huh? I'll be you have some great roads to ride in the Smoky Mountains! Thanks for watching! :)

Thanks! Well-explained. Subscribed. I heard it also holds its own on the freeway. You may want to check on that.
@blacktoproamingАй бұрын
Thanks so much for watching and subscribing! Now that you mention it, its ability to ride on the freeways may depend on where. Here in Southern California, many drivers speed and 75-80 mph on the freeways is pretty normal. I probably wouldn't want to ride on our freeways here. That said, I recently took a trip to Arkansas and was surprised to see the drivers actually obeying the speed limits! Plus, generally speaking, they seemed to be a bit more sensible on the road than here. I'd be more inclined to take the Hunter 350 on the freeways there.

Short answer, for a little while, six month after I go it, I find the bike really boring. I'm a beginner rider, imagine if you want this as a second bike or third bike. I would recommend starting on a triumph speed 400 or better.
