Hi, I would be very interested to know if these Longridge bags would fit the new Classic 350 as I’m considering buying the bike.
@the.longride2 жыл бұрын
@@thesilverfoxtravels6653 yes for sure! The Mini Patriot is available with other mounting systems that already work with third party saddlebag holders made for the Classic 350. However we are also currently working on dedicated mounts for the Classic 350, meaning you will be able to use this Sidekick system as shown in the video.

Hi Uncle Stu! Nice luggage and I like the lower-profile support rails. I was just getting ready to buy the Royal Enfield luggage rails when I saw your video and saw how ridiculous they looked once mounted. You save me quite a few dollars on that near miss. I have been using a brand called Viking, which resemble many other motorcycle saddlebags out there; probably all made in the same factory in China, but they do the job for a reasonable price and don’t look bad at all. Cheers!

Excellent pannier rails. Now all we need is some vintage looking hard boxes to fit on them. I fitted Acrybre Moulding (Bournemouth?) glass fibre boxes to my new '93 Bullet 500 when I bought it. I fitted them to a RE oem rack and just cut off the rear rack portion. Unfortunately this company appear to have gone the way of my hopes and dreams and disappeared. Pity as they were excellent quality and a very reasonable price.

Great review, Stuart. I’ve just fitted a pair of these to my Interceptor. They were delivered by DHL within 72 hours of placing the order and look very nice on the bike, as well as being of very good quality. The side kick plates come separate from the bags and need a bit of care during fitting to ensure that the bags sit properly when mounted on the bike. I found the locks to be quite easy to turn, unlike yours. I also ordered the large matching roll bag and now have sufficient capacity for a couple of weeks away. The only downside came when paying the import tax prior to delivery!

Very similar to the SW Motech system I have on the Z900RS. I used that for a trip to Ireland a couple of years back and it worked perfectly. Ideal for a retro bike.
@wolfhalupka89922 жыл бұрын
that's much better, that new luggage rack plus bags. the thing most wrong with the original equipment/rack is that it tries to follow the line of the exhaust, making it kind of askew with the rest of the bike- just not right! at least not for someone oldfashioned like me, the bags need to be kind of parallel to the ground! great stuff, again - thx!

Very smart Stuart and most importantly secure. I’d buy them for my T100 however I’m now sorted with soft panniers. I used Motone rails and bought a set of Kriega DUO18. Not bad. A bit fiddly with their strapping system but well made.

Well done Stuart. Yamaha use the same fixings on their overpriced soft luggage for the XSR900. I bought the rails, but sourced the bag fixings seperately to make luggage from my own choice of bags.

I have the super patriots w/side kicks on my T120. They are pretty damn convenient. That mixed with how great the bags look made them a must have for me. The only downside is the proprietary rails. They’re a bit expensive and they seem a bit flimsy. I might see about getting custom ones made around here. The first pair I received from were welded wrong and didn’t fit the bike so I had to get a new pair sent (at no charge).So with that experience I can say that Longride has EXCELLENT customer service and definitely plan to get more of their fine quality product. Cheers!

Love the LONGRIDE bags on my 2022 RE INT 650. Great recommendation. Here in Canada, I am limited to one manufacture for original stock rear tire size/ replacement. Can't get the India brand the bike came with. Do you know if I can change the stock rear tire size (130/70/18) with either a 130/90/18 or a 120/90/18 ? Despite numerous request to Royal Enfield, I have not been able to get an answer from them. Thanks

I suspect the new Triumph will trump every aspect over the older Triumph except the most important one.... SPM .... Smiles Pre Mile. Last week I ordered the Craven panniers, color matched, for my Interceptor, in Ravishing Red ! Needless to say... the old credit card got a tad warmed up. They won't hit my frozen Minnesota doorsteps until late April.... about the time O'Man winter departs the scene.

Hi Stu, another great video and I'm pleased that you're feeling better. I just wanted to say that the idea of old vs new Bonneville is great and I'm already looking forward to it, although I already know where I'd spend my money given the choice as the new twins just seem to leave me cold. Not sure why but they just come across as too cold and possibly too corporate and souless. Anyway as an aside I'm afraid that, thanks mainly to your influence, I'm considering posting my own videos up just for fun. History might judge as poorly I'm afraid if I proceed. Anyway all the best Chris White.
@brianperry2 жыл бұрын
The original Bonnie not only looks lighter, it is lighter. Which means it is more agile. Not so sure about it managing 120 MPH, however it was fast for its day. The engine had a very good reputation for reliability and tuning, so much so it was, and still is the engine of choice for Triton builders..

Hi Stuart, I've been experiencing the front tyre wobbling issue in my Interceptor. Since you have in-depth knowledge of the bike, what could be the likely cause, in your opinion? There are several videos on KZbin about the issue, but none are conclusive.

These bags do look great but. The lock is a good idea but looks like it needs the bag to be partly empty before you can get to it which partly defeats the object. Also, whilst they look great on the bike, when removed still leave ugly scaffolding poles behind (not as bad as RE's efforts admittedly). I've got a set of SW Motech Legend bags with their clip on system. The bags don't look quite so good as Longridge but are pretty good to me anyway, the clip on system is very simple and secure although doesn't lock but when the bags are off, the rails are small an very inobtrusive. For me at least they are the best of a mediocre bunch.
@stuartfillingham2 жыл бұрын
You can always use the bag liner, Pack it in the house and then just insert it into the bag after locking. Any pannier rail is a compromise!
