mere pass 2001 model tha, air filter aur carborator ke bich ka rubber connector gari chalte chalte khul jata tha, eah ek bari problem thi, jam samalna bahut muskil thi, fir be highway me khud ko king feel korbata tha, bahut bahut power tha, highway ma bahut maza deta tha, abh be use miss korta hon. mileage 20 ke as pass tha.

Mere paas abhi bhi yeh bike hai 2002 model aur yeh Thunderbird se bahut jaida sunder aur comfortable hai..Easy handling hai city mein...Average 40+ hai abhi bhi...Jab maine li thi toh sabhi ne kaha tha maintenance bahut jaida hai prr yeh doosri bike se bahut kam hai aur haan top speed 135 km hai maine 135 km kai baar achieve kiya hai.....Mast bike hai......

Enfield Lightning came in 2 model's First was 535cc & was called enfield lightning 535. Second was 500cc & was called city bike Its on sale from 1999 to 2004/05

Thank you for using my bike in your review. Pleasant surprise. The paint was changed to a grey and red as opposed to the original grey and silver a few years ago though. And the speedometer is different too, because the original isn't available.

I own original 535 cc ( maroon colour) 2001 model.....I disagree with your comment of instability. But yes it's a bit heavy and requires an expert mech to handle it. Still gives me good average and roars on the road.

I have a Enflield Lightning 1998, originally Maroon color exactly the same looks as @ 5:42 and 6:37. I haven't rode it since 2004 after leaving the country. Now I want to restore it like the original condition and maybe little modification. I see on KZbin, all the good workshops are in Delhi or in the north. Is there any good bullet modification/restoration shops in northeast or say Guwahati? Thank you
