California is 3 times larger than Italy and grows more food than most other countries (so there are lots of ranches and farms too). The beach is just on the edge of it 😉🌊🌴☀️🐄🚜🗻🏔🌲🌲⛷❄️ You should come ride it!

@@motopicnic it’s utterly breathtaking and very little traffic (all low speed). I’ve done most of Europe, also the Drackensburg mountains in SA, but Western Scotland beats them hands down. I’ve never visited the States however.

I would love to get the chance to ride one of those Meteors. I realize that they do not have the level of power and performance as a vintage Honda 350 twin but that modest HP engine and lower RPM's spells a really long life engine.

Yes!! We are so excited to see the 650. They might be a game-changer. But, we literally rode that 350 up 7000 feet (2500 meters) in elevation to Lake Tahoe today (video to come) and it did great, on very little fuel. But the 650 should take the hills little more aggressively. Can’t wait! Cheers

Awesome vid! Quick question tho. Did you guys feel like the meteor had enough power for the mountains? Maybe even california freeways?

That’s a a great question. It’ll cruise at 70mph but not much more. She was able to get up the mountains (we rode up to the Rubicon last week, me on a KLX300) and both did fine. But, she’s looking at a 650 or something wondering if she needs more power. The fact is, she wouldn’t ride faster if she did have a bigger bike. And she does own a Bonneville T120 (1200cc) which is too heavy for her. So this bike does everything she needs it to, including getting up the mountains. And she loves it and is super confident on it. A bigger., heavier bike would get in the way of her enjoying the ride. But she’s small. I would want more power up the hill. Maybe look at a Honda rebel 500 for a similar price and see. But this bike is capable. Most rides are 50mph or less anyway if you’re not on the freeway. And this bike will run forever (and she didn’t need to re-fuel like I did)

Im also on the shorter side(5'3") and was wondering if I should even bother going for a 350 or go straight up to a rebel 500 or even the Continental GT650. I always hear people getting a 300 and just selling it a couple months later to get an even bigger bike. Mostly like you said a Rebel 500. I just really like the cafe racer looks of the Continental GT650 but I will have to visit a dealer to sit on the bikes to see if I can even reach the ground hahah or maybe get some lowering kits if it comes into it. I understand, that 20 HP seem to be a bit to less, for such tours. Always ride with max speed may become booring. But in other areas, the power may be enough.
