Royal Enfield New - Guerrilla 450 | First Look

Royal Enfield’s new 450cc motorcycle guerilla was finally launched in India yesterday at a starting price of Rs 2.39 lacs (ex-showroom) whereas the top-end trim Flash costs Rs 2.54 lacs (ex-showroom). Since it’s based on the same Himalayan frame (though with some tweaks to the sub-frame), the Guerilla gets the same 450cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that made its debut with the former. It produces 40bhp and 40Nm with the same 6-speed gearbox. It also gets the slip-and-assist clutch. What’s different however is the way both the motorcycles look, the Guerilla is shorter and narrower thus making it more manageable for short riders. It also weighs 185kgs making it around 11kg less than the Himalayan 450. It also has a smaller fuel tank at 11-litres. The Himalayan’s fuel tank is 17-litres. RE don't want people to take this on long tours since it could affect the himalayan sales, so they kinda delibirately giving 11 ltr and no USD. They strictly tried to keep it for a particular class or section like the same they did with hunter by not making it suitable for cruising.

USD forks doesn't matter at all unless it's a basic telescopic forks But it gets Showa telescopic forks which will perform better than some Endurance USD forks that some brands are providing just for looks.

most people will prefer the smoke grey base variant because honestly the other color combinations apart from Playa black just look very bad. Theyre trying to bring in flashy colours but its just shouldnt be on their agend as it goes against the classy character RE brand has. Yellow ribbon has purple/blue RE logo and the brava blue's blue frame and wheels just look plain horrible. IDK why theyre not doing a same design motif and changing the colours rather theyre doing multiple different graphics (it can be done well but not feeling it on this one.) also the himalayan's nardo greys were just there as hit or miss colours. RE needs better styling designers. Thanks for reading my rant feel free to disagree

This is a rich man's toy.. its not a practical bike for people looking for an all-round bike specially the tank 11ltrs, which will be cut down to around 9ltrs with 2ltrs in reserve... So basically u r getting a 450 bike with 9ltrs of fuel capacity with on road mlige around 20 to 25 if u ride normally.. not worth buying..
