I did drag racing in 1989 and 1990 with a Yamaha FZR 1000 Exup in Europe, so I can relate to your story. It's good to see that you are enjoying yourself.

Hi there from the UK, just loving your channel and content, thanks so much for your 'down to earth' explanations of the bike and Drag Racing. I don't own a Royal Enfield 650 twin, but you and your channel's making me want to have one of my own! Good luck with all your endeavors on the track and the street.

I'm an old (very old) drag racer, interesting to see how things have progressed so much. I'm from the stand over the bike pop the clutch and sit down as the seat hits you in the butt school. (1960's) with the stock RE I'd be afraid of that technique because of the short wheelbase and 18" wheels. Thanks for your enthusiasm.

Awesome work on the bike and nicely explained. The big bore kit implementation you have nailed it. I am sure you have thought about installing turbos on the drag bike as well. Are you considering a dual turbo or single turbo or no turbo at all? It would be nice to hear your views on it.

I'm looking forward to hearing about the design details of your big valve cylinder head. Having installed the 865 kit on a bike with the stock head (mentioned in a previous episode), did you get an opportunity to run a comparison? Great work!

Any dreams of taking your bikes to Bonneville? You obviously have the tech to do it, so why not push a little further and maybe break a record or two?

Regarding the twin drive setup; why not add a spacer at the counter shaft sprocket to move the chain clear of the tire? Would that not be simpler/lighter?

Would enlarging the fuel lines be necessary for this type of bike? The standard line from tank to injectors be sufficient? Just a thought I had....quiet day......

Where did you get that swing arm from,and what does it cost?
@RevelryCycles Жыл бұрын
It’s a one off. We had it made by TracDynamics. I don’t remember how much it cost but it was A LOT and it took over a year from order to delivery.

@@RevelryCycles I am trying to pull off that same look and function of an extended swingarm built for drag bikes. I know that they have extension kits out there. But none of them are made for Enfields, and thank you for responding. I appreciate the info.

Very nice video and very impressive bike. MPH is the right measure and we all know the French invented KPH to make their machines seem faster ;0). ET is all about punctuallity, don't go early and don't arrive early. Just get to the end in the slowest time but ahead of the bike in the adjacent lane. And then you practice in high sun and race day it's cloudy or vice versa and then the time predictions are "out the window" . Tyre pressures can change with temperature and all these fractions can work for you or against you. As for luck... I don't think being lucky wins as much as the absence of bad luck. Best wishes for 2021 from here in the UK.

0 to 100 kph is just not something one ever measures with a bike like this. Most recently (17 April 2021) it ran1/8 mile in 7.139 seconds at 95.98 mph and 1/4 mile in 11.401 seconds at 111.24 mph. That's how we measure performance. You can extrapolate from these numbers that 0 to 100 kph is PRETTY DAMN QUICK!

Eh ? Hmm, Hi or do a Burt Monrow ,One good run ,a book and a film ,on the Bonneville Salt flats should you fancy a trip State side again , as he was from Aussie . Get Guy Martin on board an ex TT rider and has raced at Bonneville and features on the UK TV and You Tube and does not mind getting his hands dirty and knows the film makers . I will be glad when the pandemic is over and lock down , a ride on my trike to clear my head and have a look at an R.E . Take care .

How do you ride it 11:56 ??? Now with all the performance-enhancing add-ons, what is the role of a rider ??? Just that rules dictate.................. a bike should have a human being strapped on top? Gone are the days of any sort of genuine racing, where the riders skill made all the difference. With this machine, I too could be a drag race champion. Just my perspective!

That's called "Bench Racing"... It looks easy from the grandstands. 😉 Unless you're on the bike in the other lane you're a spectator.
@thunderstruckperform3 жыл бұрын
On a bike this consistent in a class like modified which is one of the hardest classes in drag racing the riders skill is the difference between wining and losing, it takes nerve, consistency and focus but this is from the experience of being a seasoned racer and I can see it being hard to understand if you have only been a spectator
