I have a Shotgun 650 and would love to see someone explain what exactly one can customize on this bike. Accessorize I can understand because I have installed all the accessories Royal Enfield sells but "custom" I don't see. Lovely bike but drop the reference to "custom"...

Mine's the only custom one I've yet to see. I tore it apart the minute I got home, repainted it, relocated the rear turn signals, reinforced the fender and integrated a permanent luggage rack and modified the end of the fender to incorporate the plate light and plate holder, so there's not even a tail tidy. I'm still not happy with my heel/toe shifter yet, but I'm getting close. Oh, and I found 1/4" wall bronze tube for all the foot rests and controls and drilled them like a machine gun barrel shroud - I'll install them as soon as I decide on the shifter. I'm using my Meteor 350 as a test bed for the best way to fill and reproduce the hand controls to remove the stock mirror mounts instead of just putting a bolt in them. Grinding off a bolt with thread lock seems to be holding, but I want to try filling the hole with aluminum and then reprofiling to see if it hides the seam better. As soon as Hitchcocks carries pipes for it, the performance mods start. Nothing big, just the intake, hot cam and decatted pipes with freer silencers. I'm not going to do the S&S 865 kit. What have you done to yours? Edit/adendum- should I paint the wheels bronze when I replace the tires? The bike is green with yellow celtic-esque knotwork, so the colors are good, but I don't know if I would look overdone. Thoughts?

Royal Enfield should offer the TFT speedometer. If you are upgrading from the meteor you dont want to see the same speedometer.

Agreed!

I see some advantages to the Tft, but I rather like the meteor unit, even the offset. I'm just stuck on what to put in the blank spot when I remove the tripper unit.

I'm considering the Interceptor, but after seeing your review here, I'll try this out. The last bit you mentioned about the higher speed "niggles" which you don't fancy, what about the Interceptor? Same?
@PistonMalaysiaАй бұрын
Ive never ridden the Interceptor unfortunately.

so its top heavy? can a beginner rider handle the weight? can it run smoothly over 100km/h?
@PistonMalaysiaАй бұрын
Yes, I answered most of these questions at the end of the video. Yes it is top heavy, yes a beginner can handle the weight once it gets going, you do feel the vibrations at higher speeds.

Do you recommend this bike for a man with 1.63cm tall and 63kg weight?
@PistonMalaysia2 ай бұрын
You might struggle to flat foot, but if you're okay with that then for sure I'd recommend it. Visit your local dealer to see how comfortable you are with the seat height and the weight of the bike. If it fits you well then definitely get it.

I'm making one. I found a form that works, but I'm not happy with the exact shape. You can have something that works if you have some tools and 1/4 steel stock, though.
