They are out day after day supporting charities and other endeavours throughout the country and occasionally across the world, which is why Meghan Markle couldn't hack it. It was too much hard work for her - and in her own words: She couldn't believe she was not paid for doing this (work). The King has a red box of parliamentary papers to go through every day Parliament is sitting in addition to a huge amount of correspondence and so many other responsibilities. Also, royals don't retire, unlike everyone else. The late Queen continued working right up to the end of her life. I guess you know all this but just want to throw a rusty spanner in the works. FAIL.

As someone who used to organise events like that, I'd guess that the young man at 2.31 is a staff member, most likely from the Commonwealth Secretariat - and the King would know him from pre-event briefings. He has that sort of pose - hanging back a bit, only coming forward when asked, but senior enough to hold his own with everyone else. Young diplomat who can make conversation. Been there, done that, recognise the look! 😁

I am so impressed with Catherine and Sophie. They were not born into this life. Sophie does have a background in media. For these 2 ladies to look so comfortable and be able to carry conversation like pros is so impressive. Catherine, being on the shy side carry’s herself like a regal queen. She is there to support and not looking for any spotlight, same as Sophie. I so admire these 2 women, who happened to fall in love with their own Prince.
