Agree - it's been another annus horribilis for the RF. However, like Michael said, the King looked content. His relationship with P. William is much closer than ever. They’re not needed. The monarch signs legislation into law and has a meeting with the PM, pretending he/she has any power in government. They have none. Figureheads only. I’m sure the charities would do just as well without some 20 second story on the news where nobody remembers the name of the charity and the report focuses more on what Kate is wearing

I think it's reasonable to assume all three of Wales children will be working Royals as for the slimmed down Monarchy all Charles and William have ever said is they want the focus to be on the Working Royals which is correct in my view why should third cousin Johnathon or whoever grandstand on the balcony once a year when they do nothing for the Rf the rest of the time they're choice of course but you can't have it both ways.
