I honestly wish more keebs had USB passthrough. It's a feature I don't see often enough. also these RK boards respond really well to modifications. Some foam, lubed & filmed sitches, modded stabs and they just sound great. I stick by my original statement RK makes some of the best bang or buck keebs unless you're all about that VIA life.

Hi! I use a Philips Head Screw Driver to open the board up. And yes, clipping the stabs would make it sound better than stock!

Definitely recommend replacing the stock RK switches. Found out by chance that my brother bought the exact same RK84 in black, but he specced his with a different brand of browns. Night and day difference - the stock RK switches feel like trash in comparison: so wobbly, plasticky, and light. Already considering upgrading once I have the time.

Hiii! Thank you so much! For the fn keys, you need to press the FN button plus the numbers to access them. The arrow keys work as standard too! Hmmm. For case choice, youd have to make a custom one yourself as it has a non standard case because of the USB passthroughs.

Heyyy! First, congrats on buying the RKG68! It's a very nice keeb! Second, changing switches is not hard but you will the necessary tools. You'd need a switch puller to get it off the board itself. I suggest buying a good one that you can hold properly. Also, getting a wired keycap puller helps you avoid scratches on your keycaps so you should get one too! The part that would be a bit of a hassle is when you need to lube and film the switch. There are many vids in youtube that can help. I have one and its in the rumi61 upgrade video. But, taeha types and alexotos have even better vids about it. Check them out! Don't hesitate to ask if you need help! 😁

Hiii! Hmmmmm. Id prefer the RKG68 because of the added 2.4ghz capability. The GK68xs is nice but from what Ive seen, the backspace key is a bit further than normal because of the added tilde key. But, its really up to you. Also, the RKG68's frame is removable. So plus points for customizability! Hehehe

Hellooooo! If you mean if you change the keycaps, will it affect the rgb light, the answer is yes. If you will use keycaps like without shine through, light will just go to the side instead but if you use shine through keycaps like CableMod Premium ABS keycaps, then the light will go through. It will also depend on the switches used as switches with solid colored housings will have lesser light compared to clear housing. I hope I answered your question.

i love mine... i bought the more expensive one with better keycaps, it doesn't come with a frame though... i swapped the rk browns out with everlglide aquakings and have a typewriter keycap set on it. it's beautiful

Hi!! I'm back again. Just dropping by to say I actually bought an RKG68 instead of a Rumi61. After a long time of contemplating between RUMI61, Gamakay K61, and RKG68 I decided to get the RKG68. For whatever reason I just love the case and layout so much, this usually doesn't matter to other people but in my opinion the stereotypical keyboard case is just so thin and whatnot. Though my opinion is completely subjective and we all have a different preference. Anyway, I can't tell if this is Cherry MX or Gaterons or idk. Coz I took out the switch and it has RK written on it. Anyway it doesn't matter since I bought Gateron Yellow Pros for this anyway. I also like the fact that this can be used for mac layout, the case itself can be switched, and the stock stabs are not so bad. They aren't rattly, but they're a bit stiff? I dont know how to say it because you really have to feel it to know lol.

Hiii! That's great! The RKG68 is such a great buy! Yep it comes with RK switches but it doesnt matter, the Gat pro yellows are better. Just be sure to relube them (factory isnt as great) and add film! I'm happy you were able to buy the perfect board for you!

@@XaclainRecords Heyo!!! Just asking what is the purpose of films? So I have Honey Milk keycaps right now and pre-lubed Gateron Yellow Pro's. No mods done yet, stock stabs. But I'm planning to Holee the stabs, also PE Foam + Tape mod my board. One last question. Since these Gat Yellows are pre-lubed, do I just lube them again? Like do I have to wash it off and add new lube cause I'm a bit confused haha

Heyyy! The film is used to decrease housing wobble. For the stabs, I suggest using plumbers tape on the metal parts that go in the plastic. For the pre lube, I suggest just whiping them off with wet wipes. Then redoing them with lube.

Hiii!! It's honestly preference because both have different sizes. The RK61 is 60% so the absence of the arrow keys could be a problem for some but it will be more compact. The RKG68 is just the right size and has the arrow keys and then some! But I would definitely choose this over the RK61!

Hiii! I was unable to check if it was either Kailh or Gateron. I also asked the supplier but they only said it was 5 Pin Hotswappable. But most of the time, these hotswap sockets are from Kailh.

Hiii! Nicee. The RK84 is a great choice as a first keyboard. The purpose of adding foam is ti ensure the sound and feel of the board is tight and whole. Without the foam, it may tend to sound to sound and feel empty or hollow. Try checking out Durock Plate Mounted Stabs. These are good plate mounted stabilizers.
