Why I hate these things: - The ability to teleport out of danger - Their poison vomit deals fuckton of damage - They will leap entire football fields just to slap you silly - 40% Holy damage resistance - They can deal a lot of damage in a short amount of time - THESE THINGS ARE FREAKS OF NATURE JUST LOOK AT THEM Yes, I can still use an AoE healing spell to get rid of them, but I still hate them.

​@@x-shift8937same.. came there after defeating the elden beast, and dude killed me almost instantly.. and I thought that maybe it's because I was already low on HP and he caught me by surprise, came the 2nd time ready to fight him, and he still killed me.. at the end of the day I just avoided that area cause there's nothing to he taken from there.. just went straight down to the boss and defeated him, he's several times easier than the revenant.. I feel like the reason why the revenant from the underground area is hard to beat is because it's dark and you don't see him but also because there are a lot of magic users that basically hit you from each side and you can't focus on him alone

This enemy is a good example of an unfun fight. I beat every boss in this game including melania, and these guys are even less fun than rune bears to fight. Defeating them gives me no pleasure, I just feel irritated that I wasted my time when I could have been bashing my head against the wall (melania). Though if they were intended to be a "oh shit shit shit, run run run" kind of enemy, more of an obstacle rather than a traditional enemy... then fine, they work fine, I guess.

It's very clearly designed around getting it with a healing spell. I think the developers designed it with the intent of being an absolute pain, and this wouldn't change their mind. Remember, they're lead by poison swamp guy. The one thing this does show imo is how bullshit Rykards hitboxes are. It might have won if it didn't spend half the time poundinging against a part of Rykard that simply didn't register hits.

I sometimes wonder how Mohg scales in lore. Would his Nihil be an instant kill against other demigods, or is it just a gameplay thing. For example: even when Malenia phase transitions into a godess, she could not fight with no blood inside her body.

@@kyte5648 In my opinion, Rahdan was the strongest, during the battle with Malenia he knocked her down and stuck his two big swords in the ground, so that she could get up again, as he thought it was dishonorable to attack someone on the ground, and he only lost because he let Malenia's blood came into contact with his, he had enough power to stop the stars in addition to being good with the sword and the bow. In second place I leave Malenia, she was very fast, and skilled with the sword, in the lore, I don't think Mogh have time to curse her with the Nihil. In addition to being an empyream, she can channel the power of an external god, in this case that of the scarlet rot, a source of power more destructive than Mogh's magic from the formless mother. In third I leave Ranni, she would be a maximum level intelligence build, she can kill you by installing her fingers, in addition to being able to create a fake Rennala to fight against you. @@SeijinOficial An interesting list. I think it also depends on preparation time and army, because mostly it's never a normal 1v1. If nobody interfered, the mad Radahn would have killed the unconcious Malenia. Mohg's disadvantage is no proper army. His few sanguine nobles are stronger than normal knights and his giant skeleton torsos do huge damage, but otherwise he has more an assassin force with his bloody fingers and the entire teleporting from a pool of blood thing. If we didn't invade his place directly and forced him to defend, he might have plottet our assassination. In a big scale war, I think Rykard and Morgott are the strongest. Malenia has an army herself, but many creatures inside her tree don't listen to her. I really don't think those royal revenants, putrit crystalians and misbegotten can be commanded by her.

Mogh's is a sect of assassins, I believe he could win the war if he just kept making small moves to eliminate the most important pieces in the game. However, for his dynasty to succeed, Miquela would have to become the empyrio of the formless mother. With the exception of the Cleanrot Knights, the rest of Haligtree's army are loyal to Miquela and not to Malenia, they only respect her in the name of her brother. Her true army would be the creatures of scarlet rot, but for that she would have to accept being the goddess of rot, but she doesn't want that. However, something interesting is that if she accepted the rot she would be very powerful, there is a clear difference between using the power of an outer god and being his avatar in the intermediate lands.

Mohg fully accepts his omen blood, where Morgott tries to reject his blood. I agree that Radahn was stronger than Malenia during their battle, but Malenia has become much stronger during the game, where she became the Goddess of rot. I don‘t think he can actually beat that form.

That enemy is one of the worst from soft has ever made. Bullshit hard to understand moves, teleport, extremely powerful poison, and its always found in some of the worst areas ever where your move ments are limited

Er has some absolute bullshit moves you don't see in the trilogy ever, or just plain bad design in bosses and enemies. Its not very frequent, but the reason I love ds3 more than er is how well dragon bosses were made (ignore the gimmick one). Er has so many dragons, but each feels so repeated and boring to fight. Then when its a completely new dragon like fortisaax, he's too easy as he misses half his attacks even if you just plainly walk around. Placidusax has too many bullshit moves, the laser move being the worst. Midir had a well telegraphed yet deadly moveset. Placidusax has a bullshit spam attack you usually just run the fuck away from. It ruins the flow of the fight, ruins the fun. And enemies like the revenant are just plainly put there to fuck you up with little to no counterplay than a definitive counter.

I don’t know what the fuck FromSoft was thinking with these things. They’ve always had some goofy OP enemies in every game but Royal Revenants are just on a different level. I know they can be deleted with the healing spell but for anyone who isn’t doing a faith build they’re just complete horseshit to fight. And beyond that, a well-designed enemy shouldn’t have to crutch on a singular tactic where you essentially just delete it from existence instead of having to engage with it all. It’s just such a lazily designed and unbalanced enemy. And frankly this thing really encompasses a lot of the issues with ER’s combat as a whole.

i know nobody cares about personal anecdotes, but my primary weapons were cold raptor talons, and you can spam them to death with the combined bleed and frostbite. basically just as easy as heal incantations.
